These front bulkhead plates will be cut out and new replicas welded in to
make it look original

I then set to work on getting the seat mounts cut out and new ones
shaped up

Someone previous had welded in a shite plate in her so that got cut out
and will be done properly. Note i cut it short of the chassis stamp

Drivers side

Passenger side

Panel piece offered up and clamped ready for marking out

Cut out and ready for welding into place

Then my mate Ade Culley (B44 CEP) who is doing the welding and paint
popped down to start on welding up all the new panels.
We started on the front headlight panels which is the first job and then working towards the rear of the car

1st job was to cut out old rectangle mounts and install new ones that My AWESOME buddy Dave (Monster) kindly made for me.

He done the holes with a round file and he said they took fooking ages LOL
Cheers bro

Held in place with lots of clamps as its imperative that you get these absolutly spot on to the mm as they wont line up with the holes on the new headlamp panels
[IMG]http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a7/kristoff26/Frontpanelswelding013.jpg

You can never have to many clamps LOL

I also picked up all my yellow passivated items from the platers and to
say im over the moon is an understatemant.

I must admit that getting these done has been a living hell
They should have been a week job but turned out to be a 3 month job
due to the 1st guy i gave them to doing them all in a tin silver instead of
yellow passivate.
So i sacked him off and gave them to my current platers who are top notch to see if they could sort them out. Now they tried to remove the
tin coat but to no avail so they done them anyway but the yellow passivate started flaking off sooooooooooooooooooooo

Up steps my good mate Dave (Monster) who blasted the whole lot you see below inc every nut, bolt, washer, clip the fooking lot and i take my hat off to him as it took him nearl 4 days

CheeRS again Bro.. will buy you a few beers in Tenerife

Rs Stevo, Better get your Kleenex ready now mate

Anyway pics below of finished product

And the gearbox parts

Well thats it for now,
Updates will be more frequent now as i want her finished for Cumbria

Howdi all.

Well yesterday i was supposed to take my engine to cookie monster
motorsport to rebuild it but a supplier let me down and forgot to send me my ARP conrod bolts and flywheel bolts so the build has been put back a week or 2 so .................... i cracked on and ............

I finished my chassis tilter yesterday so i hope it give you all a few ideas
if you are wanting to make one.

Cost me about 45 quid to make although i did cash in a favour for the bearings
and circular latch disk as this was cut using a water jet machine.

Hope you like

The main A frame

The main pivot piece using 2 roller bearings

Last bit of welding to do was to add the bracket to lock the disk at the
angle required, which can be every 10 degrees

Once that was done i gave them a power wash down ready for a rub down
and primer

And primered

Then i mounted the pivot pieces to the front and rear of the car using the
bumper mounts

And then attached the A frames front and rear

Once i was happy that everything was secure and double checked i turned
her over, and yeah my ar5e did twitch a bit but the roller bearings are so smooth they work a treat

Hope the above helps you all out if you want to make one

Also someone asked me why i done it so high, well its because i designed it
to suit all width of ford Rs's as i doubt this will be my last Rs restoration LOL

Big thanks to Dave for sorting me out the steel. Cheers pal

CheeRS for all the comments all.

It spurs me on even more to get it finished.

Engine is next on the list. Just waiting for my Stage 3 head to come back from Impulse
Developments and waiting for a few more bits to be yellow passivated . Then its full steam
ahead on putting the engine back together. Cant Wait.

More pics coming soon

Howdi all

Well i thought its about time i do another update just to keep you all
informed of where i am up to

Done myself some yellow passivating
CV joints, throttle body parts, locks, latches and pulleys etc

Brand new shift covers with all new internals, springs, locks etc

Built up my new inlet manifold and throttle body with all new gaskets and
bolts etc

Then i rebuilt my freshy bead blasted and painted metering head with
all new plated nuts and bolts and new gasket from ford. Still not finished
though as i need new copper washers and attach the brackets etc

I also got my Stage 3 big valved ported and polished head back from Ade
at impulse developments. His work is awesome.
Had it pressure tested and skimmed, new stainless big valves, re polished,
new valve guides cut back to assist air flow and 3 angle valve seats plus
new stem seals etc

Also i rubbed down, etch primed and painted my block in satin black
after having it acid dipped and honed. Then fitted the new core plugs and temporaly put the water pump on to see what i thought of the colours.

Also some parts ive collected over the last month or so

Genuine pump and gasket

Well thats it for now folks, next update will be showing the new sills and
rear inner and outer arches fitted and the engine rebuild

Thanks so much for all the nice comments

Will do another update next week when me and my good buddy Dave
build up the engine

What do all think of the inlet manifold and throttle body ???
If we can get enough interest then me and Dave @ Monster Motorsport can do them
on an exchange basis in either black with silver bolts or silver with gold bolts, all complete

This is the best thread I have ever read. It makes my small restor look even smaller. Can't wait to see it all completed at the shows next year. What group do you show with???
Keep up the good work and keep the updates coming.
