if your going into all this work space framing the chassis why are using a 15yr old floor section for the tunnel ? surely a nice custom built centre would be better ?

why not? cause its old does that mean it won't work or hasn't much life left in it?

i have done in the past and seen a few other attempts they always look boxy

Mate look at the work andy does... dont you think if a custom tunnel was needed or mattered he'd knock one up considering its such a small job in relation to the rest of the car.

If you dont mind me asking Andrew, what background have you got with regard to fabrication work.

Surely the previous focus was not your 1st attempt at fabrication work on that kind of scale.

Have you worked in shell prep/design previously, outstanding attention to detail, and interesting to see being built and witness once complete on track.

i dont think he has that much time - hence why his own car is a little slower being built than last years

Last years car was built just over a month check the dates from start to finnish in the old thread there was a few ppl that thought it was a bit optimistic & wasnt goig to work but it did & won the northern saloons & did 196.6 mph
m4dyeti
The old focus was the first mk2 focus he built & only had one go at it there was no trial & error.

It's a great start for sure. Roughly how many hours per week go into the build of this car? I am really quite impressed at the speed with which the last and this car has progress from a pile of tube and panels to something resembling a car.

Will there be any further work on the aero side over the 2007 car?
