I think Charlie's engine blew yesterday in testing, and Andy's did today in his 2nd race - dunno if the Clerk of the Course liked him much after that!

The focus didnt sound too clever in the second race, hope Andy and Charlie get it all sorted for the next round.

what sort of "warranty" does Andy and charlie get with their engines??
I know cracking the sump aint failure of the engine but throwing a rod must be??

you dont get any official warranty with race engines.
Some tuners "might" see good customers right tho.

only if he can guarantee them for two weeks, was talking to tim and he was saying they are busy doing mots.
stripped my engine today and it looks like it ate the windage tray in the first race and thats what caused the sump to crack then debri from that caused it to run a big end on no 2.
we also noticed that there was a small dent out the way on the sump after the first race and now seeing the sump off you can see something had let go

also when we drained the oil after the first race there was still 4-5 litres of oil as it had cracked at the high bit.
and the oil looked metalic then

I see Motors TV have split the Scottish motorsport into a separate program now, just watched the first 2 races, the 2nd race where Andy went from last to first!

F**king awesome! Makes the Escort almost look old and dated! This brings back memories to the unristricted days of Div 1 Rallycross, only this baby is streetlegal...
Ps. Ford: This is how a Ford Focus RS should look, wide, low and with a massive spoiler! And while I am on the subject: It should be a modernized 330 bhp+ Cossy 4 pot too (like Audi is now bringing a new 5 cilinder with high compression, direct injection and modern turbocharger)!
