I use a mittler brothers bead roller to swage all my panel work Theres lots of tooling for it so we can do joggled edges and radius edges etc in the panel work and also for fabricated alloy tanks its goo, Means you dont need to have square edges tanks from an open corner joint. You radius it to give a butt weld.

thats what i'm talking about need to invest in one of them
There well worth the money and good quality, What tube notcher do you use Andrew?

I just been looking a buying a similar type, You just change the roller in the end to suit tube/notch required? What they like on the belts? I use the cutter style notcher but the tungsten carbide cuttings are VERY expensive.

the car would look mental, if it was matt black with the carbon showing...there again it would also be nice the same colour as your van.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that resorts to the MIG welder when time it tight!

It looks great, engine position is really going to be the killer mod I think. And the new rear subframe looks like a useful improvement on the previous car. Out of interest, what thickness sheet is used for the panelling? It looks about 1mm given the distortion.

I am curious to see the floor so high in the car, I would have expected a big effort to get the CofG as low as possible. Although it might not be clear from the pics I've seen.

mig is only really used on the heavy tubing
.8mm sheeting
the reason for the floor being high is so i can lower right down without having drive shaft issues

Andrew that pedal box is A stunning piece of kit..

I spoted this at autosport and on calling AP the following Monday was slightly taken a back to the cost..... Im guessing the huge cost is due to only small numbers being made by AP.

Such a compact neat design though, car is looking immense now too.
