They get on well mate, it was quite sad that I literaly had to drive them apart

 

I sold my dry sump a couple of years ago when I was going to break this project, one thing I have always regreted doing is selling sump.

But the person I sold it to at the time agreed I could buy it back for what I sold it for when he did not want it anymore.

So, today I have agreed to buy it back -

lol they're private plates mate, I love um, been offered silly money for the one on the van too, wont be selling.

 

No updates really untill I start preping the engine bay to take the dry sump, but been so busy lately nothings happened.



But a pal of mine made me some alloy gear knobs, one for my van and one for L2, this one more track style, not got stick in car yet to fit it to, but here a few pics.

I did at one point Jay yeah, a while back, but after selling Ł8000 worth of parts off of it in a week I felt to gutted to complety sell it lol

So ended up replacing everything I sold with better shit

 

hows the dash surrround coming?

If you finish it before spring it would be ideal because its a "kitchen table" sized part so is ideal for me to do inside over the winter months!!

 

Will plan to get it fjnished over the next few weeks now mate, as darker nights now like you say winter so should have more time to do it. Realy 90% done just needs me to smooth it over.

 

8 grands worth of parts???? fookin helllllll.

 

Mate these projects soon add up when you brake them down into parts, when I bloke this for sale a couple of years ago I listed 15K's worth of bits and that was with me keeping the shell, since then I wouldn't like to add up how much is invested in this car that hasn't even turned a wheel yet lol

 

now that is a man size gear knob getting there slowly mate

started modind the binical to house the race dash

so chopped the original up



the recessed mount



just bonding some laminate on the mdf now then it will all get put together and flocked

I was going flock mine ,take it your going to fasten it from the rear jay ? dash 2 that is

 

Yeh a backing plate on the rear of the dash ! I have my own flocking equipment dingla

 

The dash is finished being mocked up now so I'll get it flocked over the holidays

 

M4 bolts I think hold it from the back.

Gona look wicked flocked, watch ya don't cut ya fingers on that glass stuff thats still round the edges Jay (my get out of being sued bit that)

its a dash 2 like his but for a focus my dash surround is already in bits not cut any thing for it fit in tho
