All looks really nice, tho TBH im not sure how effective a lot of it is apart from being different to be different.
Do you think the HKS will magically drive much better than other similar clutches without the jap badge and price tag?
In my experience of them, no, no they wont.

Hi, the badge is of very little interest for me, what i am looking at is the results.. i have driven a fair few cars with this set up in, and the way it drives is what i am trying to achieve, unfortunately the price tag is high, but for the results ( if i get it right !! ) it will be worth it ...
this project was never to push the numbers, its a road car, and my personal limits were the 450 - 500 max, i am doing things the way i feel will work best for me for driveability and reliability.. , but i do like my details !!!

Dennis,
You have probably taken this into consideration already but I will mention it just in case as you have said how tight it all is.... Have you thought that you will need extra room for the clutch arm as the clutch wears??
Also, just curious .. How thick are the HKS plates?
Cheers,
Martin.

Hi Martin, clearance has been an " issue " but yes i have, with more than acceptable results for all conditions..
not to sure on the thickness of the top of my head ??
Cheers Martin

Looking good Dennis!
Seen the clutch conversion up close and it looks like we could see this on more cars. Especially if the engagement and driveability is how Dennis is thinking it will be.
Top stuff,
Dave

OK sorry for the delay, i have not had much free time ( AGAIN !! ) but there is light at the end of the tunnel...
most of the wiring is done, all the pipe work is sorted, the intercooler has been " tweaked " and a new hose made from the throttle body to intercooler. ( Thanks to roose motorsport ) I had to remove my nice alloy actuator as i could not close the bonnet !!! I Know is HKS, but its all i could find on the shelf, besides it has a good rod angle.. lol
The clutch master / pedal Box is sorted, although i wanted the master inside the car to keep the heat away for reliability, so the clutch pivot point and leverage angles are not what i planed, but work well, the pedal is a little heavier than i wanted, but still lighter than my old AP item. but was the best i could get due to space available...
its now sooooo close, i cant wait.. I'm like a kid at Christmas, i need to get it home and give it a good clean, and enjoy putting some miles on it...
Also my sensible side is considering a plumed in fire extinguisher system. I have also been looking at alternative fuels, with prices getting so high, it could be cheaper ??

well i took her for its first drive today.. fantastic !!! its done 160 miles on the Dyno and i have mapped up to my reduced limiter.. it drives so nice.. and the clutch is just what i was aiming for.. no snatching, no juddering, and a relatively light peddle.. perfect .....
all thats left now is a geometry check, get it MOT`ed and get the rest of the running in miles on it..
I have got lots of cleaning to do when its home though !! lol

The Clutch is perfect... just like a std ford item..... ( Accept it will hold 850 BHP and its related torque !!! )
should be just short of 500 BHP @ the fly.. not sure on the details yet, they will be decided when i have all the data during mapping...
