combi van project.(being scrapped)
its getting scrapped mate,started to do some work on it the other day after over a year of being parked up,found out that the whole front end is bent,nothing lines up & the van does'nt sit level.

that what annoyed me the most that i didnt notice it b4 doin all the work.im on the hunt for another one tho

well having desided to scrap the van,i had to get rid of another car i have to park a escort there so i could just swap bits from 1 car to the other.
i cant sell the car so that mean no room for a new escort
im not goin to strip & scrap the van & have loads of crap lying about.so insted of scraping the other car aswel,im goin to cut it up & put it into my van
oh boy this is goin to be fun...

What you going to do with this now? At first I thought the cossie kit was a bit 1990's, but it started to look ok (even though bonnet not quite my taste, but thats irrevelant!) then you started ripping bits off

yeah ive had a few ford lol.
im goin to 4x4 it now,i liked the bodykit at first but i cant decide whether to keep it now,ill deside that once all the floor is done & i move onto the bodywork.
i hate the bonnet aswel,its just on as i dont have a standed one yet.

well i made a start on it today,first thing was to empty the crap out of it & then take all the rear running gear off,was a right pig as all nuts was rusted & took ages.
cant belive how rusty it has gone
& empty
then took the fake floor out the back that covers the spare wheel & then drilled out the spot welds where the sockers bolted up.floor as gone rotten,good job its getting replaced.

looking good mate,cant believe how bad that floor is at least you can get rid of it mate,you will need to cut a bit more out of the inner rear arches so the shock mounts will be in the correct place,ive got a s2 bonnet if your after 1 mate

cheers mate,yeah i kno about the extra bit that needs cutting out,i had my brother inlaw round having a nose & he told me whats what. not after a bonnet yet mate,im a long way of the body work lol.cheers tho

i will have a word with some of the guys at fast ford maybe at ford fair and see what they say,i think it would be a good idea plus it will be a bit different with it being estates and combis lol would be good to try get it sorted for later on next year

done some more today.first job was engine out & all the front running gear off.nuts was rusted again.
any1 want a 2.0 zetec???
then i was back to the rear cutting away all that rot & getting ready for the sierra bit
looking abit bare now
just got to cut the back part of the sill off as its rotten,then need to go buy some plate & make a start striping the sierra aswel

did abit more today,started strippnig the sierra.
roof gone
rear 1/4 gone
thats it for now,need to get it jacked up now & strip the running gear off & cut it in half.
did it all with the airgun,was going to use the petrol cutter but the airgun was faster
bet the neighbours loved the airgun going all day lol

well had some spare time this afternoon so was on the project.
got the exhaust off,tank,spare wheel well & prop then chopped the rear off to go under the van.
then got it umder the van
then fooked about getting it level & sitting straight & trying to work out the hight to sit it at & triming bits up so it fitted.
then thought i would take off the kit so i could get the wheels lined up right & i like it with out the kit so if the front isnt to wide im keeping it looking original ish lol
wheel sit nice to the arch but lots of camber
& thats it,just need the welder back & can get crackin again

looking good mate,thought you were putting the whole floor in or you just putting the sierra front end in,ive managed to get the front chassis half welded in place now,i will have the tunnel welded in tomorrow and got to get the steering column sorted ready for sunday
