Default Drive Shafts

Im stripping my rear drive shafts to re furbish them, is it essential that i make a note of rotation and what side of the car the shafts came off? now stripped the shafts themselves look pretty much identical? any help is much appreciated. cheers
PS it would be wicked if anyone can post any pictures of some re furbished shafts.....

You should take note of shaft rotation pal, as when the are initally under load they do twist, consequently if you then switch rotation and load them the other way they twist back, twist further and snap....

do the different markings on each end of the drive shaft significantly mean anything - ie inner or outside?
