Now the car is near enough up and running again, it was time to give it a good clean as its been sat for the last few months gathering dust.
With the help of Me, Coley, Sam and Andy, we got to work on the car.
First job was to get it in the drive on Axle stands so we could give the underneath a good going over and also get the wheels off so the arches could be sorted....
Sam got to work on cleaning the wheels back/front whilst Andy got the Toothbrush in the hard to clean areas finishing off with some Peek Aluminium polish on the shiney bits...
Heres a few shots of he engine bay....
By the time we had the outside cleaned up it went dark! Hopefully by this weekend the interior will be finished off which means the car will be just about done in time for Central Day at the Pod
Unfortunately I wont be attending due to work commitments but Coley will be bringing his wife Tracey and a few others to meet up. Im sure he will get some good shots of the car once he's at the show!
Here's a quick shot of how the car sits at the momment and i'll get another quick update up before Sunday
Cheers

Just a little up date for all you purists out there.....
Had a bargain ebay find yesterday morning. Been wanting one of these since the start of the rebuild but people want stupid money for them.....
After a drive to Peterborough to pick it up and 3 hours later, this is what i got...
Here is the before shot.....
Here is the after.......
Lots of wires....
A genuine dash board now sits proudly where it belongs...
Just got to give the inside a good clean now!!!

Tell me about it im learning that when you own a cosworth theres all ways some thing you have got to do . and i was hopping it was not going to be the gear box but its the only thing on the car that has not been rebuilt so its time for it to come out and be done .. i have had a chat to a very nice man today that can sort it for me

Update time...
As said in the previous posts, the gearbox was the only thing to be over hauled. Thanks to Marco Polo on here Coley now has a very nice rebuilt T5 Gearbox courtesy of Bara Motorsport in Bromsgrove.
At the time Coley didn't think that too much would be wrong with the box but judging by the parts he was given back (sahown in the pics), Bara found quite alot wrong with it!
Here are some pictures of the faulty parts....
You can't really tell on this pic the damage, but their is a hair line crack around the inner edge which cannot be good
After the gearbox was fitted and the car ran round the block a few times, the car has been totally transformed. Thanks again to Marco and Bara for sorting this out, a top job

and Bara is a good lad he did my gear box just after we last spoke
allso if the oil is coming out the front seal it could just be the crush shim which has gone and the nut has come loos .PS its a left hand fred and we have a sockit that will fit it and we all so no were to get all the bearings and seals from that stuff i could help you out with just thinking of the pennys and theres 2 sizes of front seal .
