Default S2 Bare Shell Rebuild

Alright people, had a 'mint' S2, got it last year after I turned 18 and could afford insurance on one Noticed the carpets were gettin wet so took them up and started having a wee prod about. End result was no more floor in the car 2 weeks before the MOT. The backbox fell off aswell and I was having engine problems, so after getting a 12 ban afew weeks ago Ive decided to put it off the road and make it mint.

I was just going to weld it up but after a little incident with a hump back bridge and a rippled roof I decided just to reshell it.

Found a shell from North Yorkshire RS Spares, 2 days later picked it up.

The doors and tailgate were stripped of all the bits then trown in the dump.

Needs alittle bit of work done to it before painting but shouldnt be too hard, its a really good base car.

Battery trays not even got any surface rust on it

Decided to burn all the stuff I had that was ment for the tip, people next door phoned the police cos there was alittle black smoke

Once I get a spit welded up its getting put on it and all the suspension taken off to get the underside done. Then all the suspesion parts powder coated or something.

Im not too great with the camera as you can see lol. I'll be updating this probaly around once a week or whenever Im sober lol.

Cheers, Scott

Right well I started this afew months ago now, but didnt really get anything done lol. After the little incident with the police and a 145mph video I decided to get the red one stripped down and the shell scrapped as quick as i could lol

Everything seems to have just piled up around the car in the garage, and I couldn't really be bothered cleaning it atm, so I moved the car into the big workshop at the other end of the yard.

Kept the car in there for the last month due to it getting unwanted attention from pretty much everyone

Decided to take the alarm out as without it thats one less thing to go wrong, was alot easier than I thought to get it out

Was going to take the engine out but someone put a forklift and half a dozen crates infront of the engine lift.

Got my mate Lewis in to help doing a pose my dad done on his cars from like 25 years ago

Some old boy T Boned his Mondy the other week so he got a nice 07 plate TDCi hire car on the insurance. Done 2500 in 2 weeks an carried fuck knows how much rusty and oily scrap, plus all the tools lol.

And 2 that I took of my dad and brothers cars that i thought were quite good

Going to get the engine out tomorrow, got all the new panels for the white shell ordered up and now everything just needs clean painted or renewed

My cameras shit btw and I'm even worse at working it

Cheers, Scott
