looks wicked against the flocking. u got me looking at other cars now for the liitle details, saw a audi a8 earlier with light up handles on so im off to investigate if they can be stripped or if they are part of the handle as i have always wanted illuminated door handles.
keep up the good work and it just goes to show alot of little touches can make for a super stunning car, i love attention to detail and suttle changes to keep a standard yet better than it left the factory look.

Was just thinking twins - was looking over the first few pages of this project, and im sure you posted up pics of you doing more work on the car previous to when this post was first started - ie when you were smoothing the front panel and hiding the loom etc.
Just wondering where the posts went - would be good to have another look over them

Time for an update i guess started to work on the rear bumper as the plan is to get this and the tailgate in primer at the same time .
Need to dig out some of the foam so i can cut into the bumper and have room for the wiring.
Time to trim up the new surrounds
Marked out on the bumper the locations for the lights and cut them out.
Test fit ,looking good.
Getting ready to bond them in
Plastic bonded over the joins, this will have fiberglass matting added for strenght.
Old hole filled aswell
Paint removed and keyed ready for filler
Thats all for now ,more soon

Dave, utterly awesome, How's the boot coming along??
And also did you manage to get another set of backing sections for the handles to do in black?? I only push on this little detail as you kind of lose the detail of the handles on the colour coded body. I think the black surround would break it up perfectly.
Also what seats you going for??

LMAO you loser, does that serve any purpose at all? I love cars like this that get small tweak after slight adjustment after minor mod...bit by bit they still look factory, but have so much to tell them apart from all the rest Quality stuff, I can't believe it's already going in for more paint again!

I've only just seen the illuminated gear knob, nice to see someone else found one! I bought one at the Autosport International show back in 2004. Ally knob, but with the numbers and "R" subtly, and individually (i.e. not one massive neon glow) illuminated in a deep blue colour. It looked absolutely great till after a few gear linkage rebuilds the wires gave up I'll be on the lookout for one again this year! Nice aren't they?
