And the light in the bumper............nice idea but maybe a bit chavy looking But you might prove us wrong

Anyway, keep up the great work and keep the updates and piccys coming
I think they are like that in the bumper to get the angle so the light will shine on the number plate,i see what you mean though,i will probably run them as they are as i think flushing them more may mean i shine white light if you look at the car from behind.

I think the number plate lights are a spot on idea, and will go very well with the rest of the subtle mods.

The boot lit brake light im not 100% on, it will be better if you can acquire a light and give a visual of how it would look.

As with most of your mods though im sure it won't dissapoint

I remember you talking to me about this at National Day this year, sounded like a good idea to me, glad your gonna give it a go

Whats the worst that can happen hey, it doens't look right and you put the old boot back on for now, no problem

Some nice little buys there too mate, cheap 2nd parts are the way forward!

Oh, btw, get on MSN when you can please mate, want to run something by you

I used to have a VW Polo 3rd brake light mounted in the tailgate handle on my Saxo. Also did a Cougar brake light mounted in a smooth tailgate on a mates Saxo once (See Redline feature circa '01). I think it'll look reet good

The flush number plate lights are a STROKE OF GENIUS and i already know before seeing the end result that it will look

However,i,m not quite sure about the centre brake light. But as someone above has said"IF IT DON,T LOOK RIGHT,YOU CAN SIMPLY PUT YOUR OLD ONE BACK ON".

Keep up the good work. And remember......KNOW WHEN TO STOP!..

As you can see the inner skin is bonded on that holds the light in place, this needs to be removed and rebonded in when the welding is done.

Quick look at the panel on the escort ,still to be trimmed up ,reason it was cut this big was so the inner skins were not damaged .

This will be it for the outside of the car ,just wanted a little subtle mod at the rear just to balance up with the rest of the car ,had this in my mind for a while so had to try it out to see how it looks ,if i dont like the boot will stay ,but i think it will look smart

how comes ya cuttin a section of the bmw boot into the escort tailgate as apposed to cuttin a correct size hole for the brake light in the escort lid, if that makes sense? although im sure your doin it for a very good reason an i realise it will prob fit better this way

On the bmw boot the hole for the brake light has a small recess around it this would be a long job to get in to the escort boot so it is better to do it and easier to cut it out this way
