Tims one is i think ,mine is not, i got it off a mate that did it all himself it was in his car but has since bought a 16v to go in

 

Of which there will soon be a thread starting of the rebuild

 

That inlet took me ages to smooth to get it like that there are no rough areas anywhere. It was also a challenge to use the xr2i fuel rail. I machined up and welded on the bosses to take the fuel rail. All the welds where then smoothed to make it look cast by ford. My car when it had this stuff all on it looked like it could have been made by ford which is what i wanted. I am a perfectionist and that was the 2nd attempt

nope made it myself but did look at there ones as a guide.

You will have to help me saturday mate, you know my computer skills lol! I dont know if I will get all the new parts in the car for it.

Dave if you want me to bung those holes smooth the top and put new holes in let me know as i have the 1/8npt tap still cheers dave

 

Yes please dave was looking at it the other day and i fancy putting them else where

 

 

I left them where they where to keep it looking original but i reckon it would look cool smoothed across the top too. It seems a shame to wreck that really nice powder coated finish. Central blast cleaning did a fantastic job on it, but it will look smart in carbon just give me a bell so we can sort out where you want the new holes

 

Respect where respect is due! I've seen this car at a few shows now, but the first time it just blew me away! each and every time, something new! every detail, perfectly executed!

I must say having read the last years update, been following it since the start, but had a sabbatical from it, i am totally in awe of this car.

having had a couple of series 2's in my time i have a soft spot for them and this just makes me want to ditch my FRS and buy a nice S2 and make a project out of it, even if i have to get the bus to work

total respect for you actually using it too, driving it to shows, then the commitment to cleaning it after and making sure it stays mint, i wish my focus was even a quarter as well looked after!

keep us updated with further plans on the car, and i'm glad to see you'd never sell it, cos if you did you would have a bidding war on your hands!!!

easily the Best S2 ever and one of the most unique cars i have ever seen

Thanks for all the comments Time for a little update ,been getting hold of a few bits for the engine bay over the last few weeks and also having some mods done to the inlet and a spare charge carrier (thanks davidrsturbo)
Original hole and boss being removed welded up and smoothed


Dotted circle is where old hole was and cross is where new boss is going for my act

New black vac hose

Spark plug boots

Turbo jacket

Water hoses from as autos

Auxillary hoses from as autos

Boost hoses and the two joiners for my soon to be carbon top hose from as autos

Next on the list is to get some straight silicon lenghts for the breather and get some bits down to phil for carbon
And awaiting my black plug leads
