Ok update time, dropped the car off at Grove Garage on Saturday.
The Old OFAB ECU and loom will be removed and replaced with a new Pectel T2 + loom.
Injectors changed plus new fuel system.
Then it’s ready for a Live Map.
Some Pics Just before leaving after giving it a wash.
I have gone back to amber indicators.
Now do i leave the Intercooler how it is or paint it black?

Looks great, but 2 points. Slightly larger cooler might be beneficial fella, uprate those breaks with 2 extra pistons and have the inlet pipe coated because it most suffer from serius heat soak issue being so close to the manifold and turbo

Will have to see what the ACTs are like when back from mapping.
The intercooler was perfect when running my 300bhp zvh at 22psi.
The xover is not a big problem. the air is moving so fast its not going to have time to heat up. After a long run the xover is always nice and cool. same the the inlet.

Update time... The last update was coming up to five months old.
The management is now moved over to Pectel T2.
When out mapping its come apparent that the alloy RS turbo radiator is not up to the job of cooling the water. So it's now rethink time for my cooling.
I am going to change from the MK 4 escort RS turbo CVH radiator to a Zetec MK5/6 type. Which is wider and taller and comes with the bonus that I can fit water houses made for my car.
After trying out an old dummy radiator from the scrap yard I decided to book my car into Pro Alloy for it to be made in alloy and at the same time I may as well get an intercooler to suit.
So last weekend with the help of Gus the car got trailed up to Pro alloy for some custom upgrades.
Thanks Gus you are a top bloke. Hope to catch up soon at a show.
To get full advantage of a custom radiator & intercooler I have had my bumper cut out. I have tried to style it like the Focus RS MK1. Looks a bit out of place atm but when the cooler is fitted and all is painted black I think it will look fine.
Also over months I have removed the CVH EFI inlet manifold and replaced it with a standard 1.8/2.0 focus inlet manifold. This will be a better setup until I make the jump to a Area-Six inlet.
New Inlet-
Bumper cut out-
Car of the trailer- Thanks Gus
Thats it for now.

awesome job so far mate, not sure about the front bumper though??
how much is your alloy rad costing you if you dont mind me asking? im also in need of a alloy zetec rad
with your blacktop engine and mtx box, did you have any trouble fitting the starter motor? i havn't got round to fitting mine yet, but it look's like the sump might get in the way of fitting the starter??
also, what clutch and flywheel are you using?

To get the starter to fit you have to remove some of the webbing on the sump. How much is down to how big your starter is as you can get different sizes. not a hard job as the sump is alloy.
The inlet I am happy with as its lots better than the CVH type. Im not going to get the full potential out of the engine but i am fine to save that for another day.
I hope to update soon with some pics from Pro

Quality quality motor Ollie, its put thoughts in my head now that if my spare CVH engine is ok - maybe i should buy a nice red escort 3 dr gti and fit the engine into it
The engine is a late spec and has EFI conversion possibilitys haha

You can use-
CVH EFI flywheel and a 215/220mm clutch.
Zetec flywheel and use a 240mm clutch.
Zetec flywheel and drill and tap it for a cosworth clutch cover and use a cosworth clutch.
Lots of options.
Pro alloy have made mk5/6 zetec radiators in the past.
Chrissy_bwoy off this forum had one made back in 2005.

i'll get on pro alloy's case tomorrow then, see if they can sort somthing out for me, might just take my car up there like you have, then they can make somthing to suit.
how's your coming on, when you expecting to have it back?

You can use a focus RS clutch but you cant use the focus RS clutch cover in a RS2000 MTx75. You will have to use the clutch cover from a zetec escort with a mtx75.

Ok update time,
I am picking the car up tonight from Pro Alloy with the help of Dave (Yum). Thanks, Dave.
The list of things I have had done is quite long, but for now a sneak peak of Pro Alloys work.
