Right finally a small update for you:
New 044 fuel pump and Audi tank fuel filter fitted all with braided hose.
Just incase
Evo seats with the centers retrimmed to match the rest of the interior.
Most of the dash back in.
Still a fair bit more wiring to sort out then the drivers seat and harness can be fitted.
Still no engine though

A better picture of the new seats being fitted, the orignal drivers seat just needed to much working doing on it and these came up cheap on ShiteBay and have the added bouns of having the harness holes, winner
Old S1 seats along with shite loads of other stuff will be put on Ebay after Christmas to try and get a few quid back for more goodies

Cheers for all the encouragement guys.
Bit of news on the engine front is, my mate who is building it is leaving his engineering job the middle of February to run a BTCC race team for his mate, they are running a 1 Series Diesel BMW so look out for it.
Anyway as he is leaving he has got to get all the machining work done ASAP, I am dropping a load of bits off to him this week so hopefully the engine is back on course and should be back with me in a few weeks, fingers crossed.

Did a couple of little jobs on her this week, firstly as I will be using a Cossie 4X4 intercooler the front panel and front bumper has had to be modified slightly, trying to keep it as subtle as possible here is the results.
With the centre section of the bumper being extended forward about 25mm ive cut the over riders in half and changed the profile inside the over rider to fit over the join.
With the other half of the over rider you can kind of get the idea and it takes your eye off the join in the bumper.
This is how the bumper will look once finished, just got to join the over riders back together and then paint them black, should look good once fitted back together.
I’ve also tidied up the intercooler and will hopefully be dropping it round at my alloy welders to have the welds done.

Once my new workshop is finished (thats where the last 6 or so months have gone), i should have a lot more room and hopefully time to get her finally finished

Right I have managed to make some progress on the engine, after getting let doen by the guy who was orignaly going to build it, I have decided to build it my self after PF Dave making it look so easy in the Performance Ford magazine, so here are some pics:
The Rods and pistons fitted together.
Close up of the piston.
Bottom end all built up.
Block all painted up.
All four pistons and rods fitted to the block.
Next job is to get a mate to weld a fitting on to the sump for the turbo oil return hose, will hopefully get the over to him on Saturday.

Cheers Dave, if my S1 turns out to be half as good as yours i will be as chuffed as bollocks
Small update, this arrived from the good old U-S of A on Friday;
Yes it is from XS Power and yes I no people have had problems with them cracking but after chatting to Stavros he reckons it will be ok with some brace work and a turbo hanger, oh and it only cost £150 delivered
