yes, does the same job as t-cut but i find it easier to buff off, certainly brings the paint back nicely. Just dont forget to follow up with a polish/wax to seal the surface after the cut

Right, got 4 days off work so thought i would get the rusty front panel changed.(wondered why it came with a new one )

Popped the lights bumper etc off and was confronted by this

still, what with currently being in the middle of a mk1 restoration, im used to this sort of thing

so act quick and get it done there and then instead of leaveing it, going mardy and loseing enthusiasm.

drilled out the welds and seperated the part i needed from the new panel, and drilled out the welds and removed the remainder of the old panel, spot the difference

the fitted the new one with a combination of spot welding as original(best tool ive ever bought, very much needed for the mk1 ) and plug welding where i couldnt get into with the spot welder.
finished result after just over 2 hours on it just needs seam sealing and then a quick paint

i hate turtle wax i can never get any decent results from it, ive tryed all the origional just wax by them and ive got a brand new bottle of clear wax and think its all crap, but the clear wash by thems amazing.
i find for waxing i use autoglym resin first then meguiers polish over that and that gets the best

When you guys have finished argueing about Turtle wax

Reason why the car has rusted badly on the front panel is becuase its had a tap at the front some time.

got up this morning, and thought i would spend a few hours doing the other side so its all out of the way

started with this.....

All finished, so time for some seam sealer as original(plus more where ford never put it )

Then gave the welded /seam sealed areas a quick coat of black paint to protect them untill i spray the full engine bay(Andy, you were right )
came out alright i reckon, and all the lights etc now fit tons better

going to start stripping her out next

So thats why I haven't heard from you in a while.
Its comming up nice cannot wait untill yours and mines on the road again.
When you have finished that mine needs that rear pannel doing!
Got it running on the second ecu yesterday just got to put the chip in now.
I saw these alloys on a Ka at donny show and thought they would look good if I went racer style.
