Part of the Furniture
Verry neat.
Might want to consider strengthening the area where the inner wing meets the bulkhead as i know they are weak there as some police sierras ended up with creases in the top of the wing where it meets the bottom of the screen pillar
A previous sierra of mine also did the same after a hitting a rather large pothole

I'll look into it, does not sound like an easy job though as it's an awkward shape

Accufab 75mm throttle body
Not really an update but I have bought this.
Ebay bargain 75mm billet aluminium 75mm Accufab throttle body
Now I need to open out the intake manifold to match!
Throttle cable ball looks too small though.
Does anyone know the diameter of the standard Sierra throttle cable ball ?

Keep at it all the boring/horrible jobs will be a distant memory when your driving it around with a big cheshire cat smile on your face
Definitely going to be a great prep job that's for sure ;

Grey Mk4 Early XR3I
Looks great so far mate even if you just dropped a bogo standard 2.0 pinto back in her she would be immaculate and that realistically is the main point engines can be changed time n time again but body work is a ball ache if not done right the first time
keep at it
keep at it

Just wondering, as I am going to do what you are doing this winter, and bare metalling the car, how did you go about priming the car? Did you use an etch then the epoxy mastic 421? Or a zinc rich primer, or did you just use the epoxy?
#333
Just epoxy 421 mate, epoxy mastic is a different product that I will probably end up going over the bottom of the car with later as it is meant to be resistant to stone chips.
I've been busy with work and hope to get back in the garage on Sunday !

I started with the custom epoxy 421 as it can be used for bodywork as well, it's going to cost me a lot more doing it this way this way but it will have plenty of protection in the end!
Spent a few hours on the driver's side under bonnet area today trying to get the paint off all the nooks and crannies.

Done some more as well as thinking about giving up and selling off all the parts I've horded
Got my mojo back now
Stripped my doner car to the bare bones and sold it to a stock car racer.
Sorted out some of the interior floor
Making good drivers side sill
Re did one of the spring towers as some of the rust pitting marks were showing through and I'm getting fussy in my old age
Ordered some seam sealer today and with luck will make a start on the underside next weekend.
That's it for now...

This was after the first bit I did was dry , isn't a great pic as it was a shitty iPhone camera , since then I think I did 2 more complete coverings, looks good with the gloss powder coated beam , silver tank and fuel pump cradle and silver diff.
I don't get to the unit very often but I will get a pic soon as your renewing my enthusiasm !
