havnt done very much at all this weekend car wise due to starting the refurb of my bathroom Did manage to get out and buy some more heat shield materials to protect the breather pipes and the brake resovoir and abs pump.
Also managed to get my new stack installed into the binacle and the binacle back into the dash! unfortunately the dash is on my dining room table.
hopefully it will match in ok with the carbon on my secs and spa's

another little update, I had a day off last week to cure my oil leaks, change the cam followers, add some much needed heat proofing to my breather pipes and around the brake master cylinder, accumulator and abs pump. I also was planning to fit my rs500 style splitter but unfortunately it was damaged in the post and uppon closer inspection I dont think im going to be able to fix it so I didnt fit it.
Rocker cover off
Cams out
Old cams and new followers
All back together with some nice fresh heatproofing, it no longer leaks oil but still bloody taps so it wasnt the followers
Also my exhaust had started hitting the front prop again so I re adjusted it to give pleanty of room only to end up with it vibrating against the stainless exhaust heat shield on the back bumper so I took that off and threw it away and have replaced it with some patented B9KOS aluminium sticky back tape to stop the bumper burning and to make the big cuts in it look a bit less obvious
Thats all for now, next will be fit my adjustable tca's and have a good hard look at the splitter and mabe fit some vernier pullys

Just a thought if you haven't an idea as to how to solve that 'tape' business, I had some sheet aluminium that was about 0.5mm thick, its easy enough to cut with scissors but flexible enough to shape too, plus you can make a neat template off the car with some cardboard then cut that out in the Alu and press it into the shape on the bumper........
Would look better than the tape IMO.

Whats next on the list???
For todays mods me and rich swopped ps tanks, he wanted my round 909 style one and I wanted his bufty cap
also got some poly exhaust mounts as my rubber ones have seen better days and the exhaust is always on the move
Havnt fitted them yet as I need to take the rear bumper off to make it a bit easier and I cant be bothered today
Next on the list is fit the adjustable TCA's and get them set up, also some vernier pullys and some solid rear beam mounts are on the cards very soon.

just holds the exhaust a bit more precicely, I have some clearance issues on my downpipe and the rubber mounts tend to give the exhaust to much fredom to move about and end up in a position where it either, hits front prop, hits bodywork, or hits and burns rear bumper.

well we have not had an update for a while so I thought I better do one, an update that is. I have actually been using the car quite a lot recently, I had to rebuild the turbo as that died on me and I was most dissapointed to find that it didnt have a 360 thrust it does now though I have done another few hunderd miles since this but seeing as the tax ran out yesterday I have decided to take a month of the road to freshen a few bits up and fit some of the parts I have collected and not fitted.
first of all I did some bufftying before I took it apart.
Next I have to take it apart to fit all this lot, Starting with Collins engine mounts
2WD oil feed pipe
Still havnt fitted these yet either
or these
or this
I also recently took delivery of a turbo cooler
So I wipped the rad and intercooler out this evening, The turbo cooler is a nice fit on the rad,
however the rad has never been a very good fit with the intercooler so Im going to take the opportunity to get them modded to sit together a bit better. Hopefully I should also get the chance to do some cleaning under the arches etc when im fitting the tca's After this lot the plan is to do the Cornwall RSOC show and then rip the engine out
