update bit over due but here it is

the engine is al fully in and redy to run all i need is a set of injectors and a new mot then it will be all finished

ive had to fit a diffrent turbo becasue the t3 i had on there before was too close to the rad so i have fitted a focus rs one and i had my exhaust system joined up to a decat pipe yesturday

here are some recent pics of the bay with the new turbo on it




tommrrow ime going to get a new bonnet for it because the bulge on it is doing my head in and in a word looks gay so its coming off

i even cleaned and polished and hovered the car today and it looks mint but i couldnt be bothered to take any pics of it

its really nice that the car is nearly done and just in time for fiesta in the park

UPDATE TIME:i havent updated this in a while becasue i have been really busy with other things and i havent really done much to the car either but i have got it running propley and ready for its mot on monday

after loads of isues with its running and isues with it smoking i managed to sort it all i spoke to ian howell and he recomended a chip and injector kit that he dose so i got that along with a 3bar map sensor and fitted it all and as soon as it started it was running like a dream but then i noticed it was smoking blue smoke aswell but after some checks and some head scraching i sorted it by fitting a focus rs engine breather to the front of the engine and a cossie oil seprator and every thing was ok

i also got a cossie air filter becasue the one i had was a little small and i managed to get a set of brand new quater glass rubbers

i have also got a set of front wings a new front pannel and a new bonnet to go on it so ime taking it off the road in the winter for these to be fitted and i might get a set of new rear quaters and rear pannel fitted aswell so the car is mint again

UPDATE:it passed its mot so its all legil again and i have been driving it round most days giving it death and it isnt very good on fuel managed to do 90 miles to Ł30 but i think noramal driving it shouldnt be too bad,all i need to do to the car now is get the body work sorted on it then its done

i will but i have already been offered 4.5k for it but i said no because its to much fun to drive at the moment

the only bad thing i can say about the engine conversion is that its not very good to drive around town and any slow places because it wants to be driven fast and is so lumpy driving normaly

yeh it got there in the end i got a new bonnet and fitted a riser kit to it but at the moment i still have the old bonnet on it becasue i ahvent had a chance to get the new one painted

Default Mk2 Fiesta Zetec Turbo:upDate 29/7/08

update time

been a long time since an update and in that time i have fitted a new clutch after 900miles a new front end(wings and front pannel and bonnet) and changed the engine spec

i have fitted a new set of cams from ian howell and have ordered a new exhaust manifold and a gt28 turbo off him aswell for more power
and i have also got a pectal t2 engine managment set up for it

with all the new bits i have i am looking to have the engine mapped at 400bhp but all this will be fitted after ford fair because ime still waiting for the manifold to turn up and to have a exhaust made up for it aswell

the car will be at ford fair on the xrtwo.com stand if any one wants to have a look and i will be updating with pics after the show aswell

update time ,had a trial fitting for the turbo set up to see how it fitted but it needs some modding


at the moment ime having a nightmare wiring up the pectal t2 so if any one is good with them on here please help me

i will post up some new pics when i can uplad them and thanks for the comments

ive already got a proper pectal loom but it has 3 wires broken at the plug and 6 other wires that need to be wired in to the car loom and i cant work out where they go

i forgot about this thread, i will update with some new pics because the car is finished and has changed loads and has been live maped by grove garage

i have also got a new shell to build up

its a mk3.5 one with a full multipoint cage welded in and ive had it for about 3months now but havent done any thing with it yet,but as soon as my mate gets his wedding out of the way its going to get painted and then the build will start(a very long build though because its going to be a proper animal when done and ime hoping to push the standards

update time: thought i would do it now because the mrs wants to watch bb so i wanted to get out of the way lol

here are some upated pics of the finished engine bay on the mk2 (still need to make a turbo suport and do some heat shields though)





and of the engine being rebuilt with new bits





i also tryed a set of focus rs seats in it and didnt like how they looked and felt



after getting the car back form grove garage it drove loads better and is now nice to drive, the car was maped for 25psi but ive been told to run a safe 20psi because the intercooler was strugling to keep the temps down.
to say ime happy with the work grove done is an understatment they have made the car really fun to drive now and it goes to show what a diffrence a good mapper can make and a big thanks to ian howell for all his help aswell

as for the new shell its a mk3.5 shell and i have big plans for it once the body is sorted and its painted, some of you might notice the car as it use to belong to paul
chesshure(sorry ifits spelt wrong paul)the shell is fitted with a multipoint cage and will be painted panther black with carbon bonnet on a set of either montie rims or escort cossie rims with frst kit and i will be building a new engine for it and i will be aiming for over 500bhp(will be lowered for road driving as driving on the road with all that power going to the front wheels will be a little silly lol) this is going to be a long build as i want to do it once and do it propely and i dont need to rush it as i have my other car to use

UPDATE TIME: been driving the car loads now and has been running spot on the only thing i have had to do is replace the rear wheels due to pot holes buckling them but thats all sorted now, at the moment ime looking for a new gear box but i might rebuild mine as its got diffrent ratios in it than a normal bc gear box and i found out that it can do 160mph so all is good

i have been building up the new project slowely but its getting there and still undecided about putting some pics up of it
