Dont often post in this room but always look at the excellent work done by you all!
Im just wondering if I can get some advise from you???
Im seriously considering buying a Puma Racing. I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is possible, and what sort of money I would be looking at, to drop in a Focus RS lump?
Would I need the gearbox, loom etc?
Are there any companys who have done this before?

Most of all,do you think it would be worth it??
Any advise would be greatly appreciated!

 

im pretty sure pumaspeed done that exact conversion them selves but personaly i havent a clue about the ins & outs of the puma. good luck any way mate

Ive never done anything like this before so i'm a bit aprehensive about doing it! I just dont want to waste my money!
Just think it would be a mint conversion!

 

the car was in a magazine & it looks well at home in the puma

 

the only thing the racing puma is missing is more power imo, amazing handling car

 

Yer it would b an amazin conversion but, would shoe hornin a 2ltr under the bonet not stuff nthe handlin up? just a thought, i had plans 2 st170 my fester Zetec s but decided not 2 cause of how the 2ltr would sit in the bay moven weight round, then again it could b different 4 a puma

If u do it though go the whole hog and have it rear wheel drive

 

i wouldnt of thought it would mess the pumas handling up. seeing as the racing puma is a 1.7 twin cam anyway it wouldnt be much of a jump to a 2.0 twincam. and the focus rs is mounted east/west just like the puma lump. go for it i say

 

What about the gearbox and loom etc?
I think i will need to contact Pumaspeed if it is them who have done it before i go ahead with this!
The only thing i will be able to do is strip down the thing. Thats about as far as my mechanical skills go! Undoing nuts and bolts!

I was thinking of a respray too. I fancy charcoal gray with some 18" black rondell 122's.

Gonna need a set of AP's too cos if i do do it, there is no point in gettin a RS lump and leaving it standard!
