Aye its a canny car that golf, Sean spent alot of time and money on it. Was it cold on the drive home & did you have to adjust the seat from 'midget' setting

9" rear diff

wrc breather

a pic of how it stands now, looking very bare

found a small rust patch in the double skin tunnel on passenger side to plate

cut some out of rear roof and pillars

the rear end cuttings all cleaned up

engine bay looking very bare waiting for paint

crossmember cut out, waiting or a piece of cds tube and incase i run 100mm thick cooler

front panel cut out more for better air flow and also if i go bigger cooler

i know the front panels bent, painter will sort it

Surely andy can sort you a diff mount mark,

or as beef said solid mount it and make your own but reinforce the floor or it may tear itself out,

looking good though mate, very jealous of your engine/transmission I'd love that set up

Are you not going down the carbon route then for some panels to save more weight, like doors, tailgate, bonnet etc? or is it just a case of less money to spend atm? certainly looks like a weapon atm and looking forward to seeing it at york soon.....

nahh blacky ,

just weld a peice of 1ftx1ft by 10mm thick steel plate to the underside of the boot floor , then a peice of 3mm plate bent into an angle , two holes onto the mount of the diff ,then weld to above 10 mm plate

simples
