Thanks Luke, hows the mapping on yours coming on now?
Not much has changed chaps sorry to say. I have cleaned the engine up a little, also have removed the brake block and all the piping.. Better get some green paint to finish those off.
I have also spotted some rust starting on one of the inner wings so im trying to decide how best to tackle it. I will be getting the wire brush on the drill tomorrow and attacking my inner wing to see how bad it is!!!
Will get some more pics up tomorrow
Oh and leigh I think you will find my gold member effort has more votes than yours still

Thanks Gav, i certainly hope not
Very small update, I have bought a few bits of here to add to the collection of parts
And the big thing ive been waiting for.... One genuine Ford inner wing from Germany!!
Now does anyone know any good southern based classic restoration places?? Or any other good bodyshops that could replace this to a very high standard?

Right it’s about time I put in an update here its only been 5 months
The shell is now with Dan's dad having the inner wing fully replaced and a new genuine outer wing put on. I have also bought some new rubbing strips which hes going to fit before she’s collected so should look the business!!
As the shells gone ive finally had some room in the garage to get the engine prepped up. Ive painted the block and removed various bit and pieces. Loads of stuff has been blasted and powder coated so should look V nice when it’s all back on. The stuff which I couldn’t powdercoat has been painted see:
I have replaced all the manifold studs bar one which is to tight to remove the little bastard thanks matt Lewis
I have also managed to get an alcon clutch and uprated cover which has only cover at max a 1000 miles of a good friend. normally I wouldn’t have put a second-hand clutch on but I know exactly how this ones been treated, was a bargain price at Ł50
Wheels have also had some treatment too, the centres have been blasted and powder coated black, they are just trial fitted in the pic as the new inner sections have not arrived yet.
manifold blasted and painted with grey heat proof shite.

Well, welding and chopping the shit of John's 3dr is WELL underway to say the least! A 12 midnight finish last night and it's looking like a Cossie should again!
Nice to see that underneath this is a spotless and very solid 3dr, well impressed with it really, i'm sure John will get some pics up of what's been done so far, i've just sent him the first batch!
Oh, and I know you've been spending John but now it's getting out of hand!

Went and saw the car yesterday as dans dad wanted the front grill so he could check the pannel gaps before welding the outer wing, took some pics of the inner wing, im well impressed with these guys they are fantasic. They have gone over the whole car on the ramps and say the rest of it is really solid which is nice to know.
