see i knew you would!!!
There's so many ways of whipping then out chops, i took mine out complete. Lowered it onto a scate, then lifted the car over the box & lump.
But again it may be easier to do it out the bonnet on a 2wd, put a post up mate & get a feel!

Leigh, I know my little tidy up is getting out if hand now But the way I see it is I have till April to sort it out. Thanks for the offer of help mate, but be careful as I may take up on it
I’m waiting on some spare cash now so I can start buying exciting new bling parts so donations can be made to paypal John.g.bennett@ntlworld.com
I’m back home today so may get my arse out in the cold and get cleaning

hehe, thanks Leigh. Glad you didn’t get a pic of my gut trying to squeeze under the 500 splitter
Your timing was perfect as well.. Turn up when the works done
Right as you can see the engine is now out!! Wasn’t too bad thanks for the advice guys, only took a couple of hours even with very limited space.
I have decided to remove the head now also The engine has been rebuilt but I have no idea of the spec as I have no receipts. If I remove the head I will be able to see if it’s had any machining for low comp and then up the power without worrying.
Anyway few more pics
Nice 200 block, its got no engine number so must be a new one Also doesnt have the core plug at the rear so its the better motorsport version.
Mess in engine bay
more mess

Hello Dean, we just about managed to squeeze it out mate in the garage, the crane was just resting on the slope so had to be careful the whole lot didn’t disappear in to next doors car opposite
Have those other two tyres off now mate, don’t suppose you’re interested for £40 for both?

hehe, thanks guys. Big thanks to Bromley for helping me lift it out in the first place
Your not going to lift your engine out Matt are you? How’s yours coming on anyway?
Tyres have as much tread as the other two you had Dean, you know what a pussy I am I said £40 as the outside of the tyre is slightly marked where my arches were rubbing but no tread has been lost.
Thanks Puss

coming out!!
Good news i think and a well earnt round of appluase to John
Once all unbolted its not as complicated as you think is it??
Let the buftying begin....
i pledge £20 that the gearbox will be out by the end of the month.
Must say John tht engine bay doesnt even need sprucing up - lovley looking car. Soory i was slightly late and arrived once the engine was hoisted up..... The tech talk after was most enjoyable though.
So head off wire rung arp bolts and new clutch - well it is xmas soon.
Good luck with it all see u soon -
MANY THANKS FOR THE LOAN OF THE 3 BAR MAP SENSOR
