Thanks guys, appreciate the comments
Paul im going for the fastest Bufty car ever, lol.
Bit more work done yesterday but didn't have time to update the thread before i went to work.
Started by spraying some 3M bag sealer into the rear 1/4's, mainly just to tidy it up and as i had a few bags left over.
Next up was to re-paint the engine bay.
Then to paint the inside
Even did round the top that not normally painted but as there was some overspray of the old colour i thought i'd go over it.
Some of the pics look very blue, its just my camera though as it was struggling to focus due to too much white, lol

Cheers G
When you gonna take me outg in the Beam?
Thanks Andy
Been some work but finally getting past the jobs like this that to be honest i hate doing. I just want to start bolting bits on, lol
Has been a while, should have just left it alone Would have been cheaper.
Did like the track style when i started down that route but by the time it was done i had changed my mind, lol
Now there is an idea......Must resist, lol
Thing is i put all this work into the inside and none of it is seen when its built up

Yes mate, same here..Not a fan of the half arsed approach.
Sorry i never got to catch you at Ford Fair, didn't really see anyone to be fair, lol.
However on my return home my old man had been busy on the car......
Got the heat proof film on
Also fitted new steering columb bush
Got the ABS block in as well, looks dirty but it was just dark
Got the sound proofing in as well

Need to get it together so i can steal your pic whoring crown, lol
If you ever got nothing on and fancy a trip over mate your more than welcome

Been working on the car this week but not really taken many pics as the wiring is such a time consuming job but you cannot see much progress.
Fuse box back in and some of the loom in the engine bay
Then while the old man was sorting the loom i desided to mod the airbox base.
Not sure if this is how folks do it but im sure it will let more air in now
Most of the wiring in place, doesn't matter how much you try to tidy it up it still looks messy
Also got the steering columb back in as well
Next started to fit seatbelts, if anyone has the lapbelt one that hasn't faded i'd be interested in buying
Sorting wiring in the bay, still not finished yet though
Scrubbed up and started to put the wiper mech together, just need to paint the last 2 bars but have ran out of black paint
Fitted the bulkhead panel

Its getting there, just need to get parts ready for fitting as most bits need either cleaning, powder coating or painting etc and its this that takes the time

Erm.....in a word...NO
Had a few other things going on mate and not had time or enthusiasm to get much done.
However funnily enough yesterday i dropped a load of parts off for powder coating like:
All my springs
Lower rad pipe
NOS bottle
Rear disk backing plates
Drive shafts
Coil bracket
Seat belt bars
and some other odds and sods
Then droppped the Tremec gearbox to Martin so he can finish the bellhousing, centre push clutch etc
Also went to Bara and collected my diff (only 3 months late, lol) and got this bolted up into the beam.
Nothing worth taking pics of really

As for techniques, basically its just a case of giving things a go, not everything works out first time, the engine bay for example we painted 3 times.
