Had a very productive day today.
Ian (Coleyst200) came round today and spent a good 6 and a half hours working on the car.
He has done pretty much all the welding that needed doing so cannot thank him enough so MASSIVE BIG UP to COLEY
Only got the one pic today, lol
Will get some pics of the work he did tomorrow as it was pitch black when we finished.

Had another productive day on the car today so we are well on our way of get this sorted
Pics of Ian's work yesterday to start with
Rear brackets cannot be removed safely so will have to stay in
Through the bulkhead where fuel lines ran when they were in the car
New seat bracket Ian sourced for me
Repair in the rear 1/4 panel at the back
All the old tank mounting holes filled and ground back
Where the harnesses went into the tunnel
Still got to grind the welds back but at least the main welding is done, Ian also welded a few nuts to the underside to replace the broken seat and seatbelt mounting points.
Bit more stripping down
Getting quite a pile of parts now, lol
Bodykit all off as well now
Arches still looking in quite good shape thanks to the wax spray
Gearbox and prop out
Bell housing off so can be modded for the Tremec
Few last pics of the car
Thanks for looking

Not sure how much of a job it is mate, will have to look into it, thing is the standard cooler rod thing is pretty much knackered on mine and the bracket has fell apart so thought i'd go down this route to make it nicer and more efficiant.
Well for the sake of Ł35 its worth a try isn't it, give me a call before you pop round mate as popping round the corner as one of the guys thinks he has a ABS block bracket that i need.

looking good mate, how much was the oil cooler? i am going to do the same for mine and the black will match the rest, have you any idea what pipe work you will use? just jubilee clipped on or proper fittings?
cheers

Cooler was Ł31.87+vat, looking on ebay they are similar priced for the branded ones.
Im going to use proper fittings as i like the look but the guys at listers said as long as you use teflon lined stuff you will be ok as normal rubber stuff will be perished by the fluid and kill the pump..

Yea, regards the hose thats what the guys at Listers told me, may be worth looking into it.
Bit more done today.
Had the new columb bush (goes in bulkhead) turn up today
Also had some Copydex glue turn up for my roof lining(recomended by the VW boys who do this job all the time) , just need to find somewhere that does material now.
Went to a scrap yard today in Birmingham and grabbed a few bits
New under carpet lining/sound deadening
Arch liners for Ł5 each
Another bulkhead panel, not sure if im gonna use it but thought i'd get it while i was there
Got back home and attacked the car again
Now rolling on 3's
Strut tops can now be painted properly
Looking to get these anodised if anyone knows somewhere
