was a bit slower this time mate, lack of time and not wanting to spend cash on race fuel i did it with just over 500bhp at wheels
with new box and shifter etc i managed a 8.99 sec's 30-130mph,we had a really nasty headwind too
just to put this into perspective standard is cars were doing over 22 seconds!!!

The ratios better matched this time bud? Where does that put you in terms of times compared to the others?
Are you doing the trackday there next month?

lee, sorry i forgot your question before yes it is a internal gated housing with pipe work to a external gate, thats how AMS make them works very well though
yes its does have a full throttle shift so once the lever is pulled it cuts the igntion, considering this was the first time out i was chuffed with car and the time but as you say i really need some practice with it,downchanges are the hardest to make smooth

Top job on all of it and not a lot impresses me. I hope to see vids of you lapping mike at snetterton up soon! We never did get that first climb in past the cage vid!
Beauty about the box is you have the skills to pull it apart and do the dogs a few times as you get used to it so wont get the hump like a private owner expecting the world on a stick.
Serious bit of kit and awesome company demo.

I had the pleasure of a passenger ride at the RS meet on Tuesday (the Queen was too scared of me damaging the dog box to let me drive ).
All I can say is WOW. The gearbox makes the car - 600+bhp full throttle gear shifts have to be experienced to be believed . I'm toast at Snetterton . Might have to resort to sugar in his engine and nails in his tyres .

Here's an update for you.
We've found that the standard Oil Pump is an issue in Evo's that are used hard, particularly on track and rather than pissing around, it's been truly FIXED.
I'll let the pics do the talking.....
So, it's now Dry-Sumped. The kit is largely that from Pace, but it's needed modifying as they are designed to run on a car with fairly standard configuration, in terms of turbo/exhaust/pipework etc. We weighed up various locations for the tank, but due to its size and after MUCH deliberation, we opted for mounting at the front of the car, where you see it. It's been a nightmare to fit, with lots of alteration and fabrication along the way, which is hard to show in a few pics, but it's now all back up and running.
The tank holds 12 litres and the 2 coolers that can be seen behind the Intercooler are for Oil and Power Steering. It's actually questionable from how it looks right now as to whether you'd even need an Oil Cooler!! I guess only time will tell.
The tank on the inner wing was custom made. The rear section carries Power Steering Fluid and the front section is a Breather Tank.
This conversion also necessitated altering the turbo elbow, which now looks slightly different from how it came in the kit. Loosely the same, but improved.
I hope you like.
(there are still one or two odds and ends to finish, seen in the pics).
