Love it mate! As said, can we have a few more pics of the rest of the car?

Well, we are hoping to get the engine back in very early next week, then I will take some more pics of the rest of the car.
It is being treated to a specialist clean/detail to revive the bodywork, so that'll be the time to get the camera clicking!!

AMS Evo 8, 903BHP at the wheels! Using a GT42R and 44psi!
This is on a 2.3l engine with 'street' trim including exhaust! 932bhp uncorrected power!
Shows the potential of Gary's build!

PassionFord Post Whore!!
That looks fantastic, it is good to see Gary extracting some serious power from his Evo, as we both know there are plenty of Evo's around us so it will hopefully serve as a good marketing/advertising tool for APT
Did you go to the Big Power meet Christian ??

imagine trying to control a gt42 to say 10psi at 8000rpm imagine the amount of exhaust gases you would need to bypass turbo to stop it making more boost,i wouldnt imagine 1 would be enough

Nice project.
How much power can the block take before liners are needed?
And is it possible to fit an EVO engine in a rear wheel drive car regarding the engine mounts, is there mounting holes on borth sides?

The engine has now covered almost 150 miles. We started mapping it today on the dyno, obviously only the off-boost stuff. Looking forward to getting on with it now.
It is surprisingly responsive. We expected it to be a lag monster, but on the couple of brief 'squirts' we have given it, it has been good.
cbp - I have no idea. Gary's block isn't linered. How far are you thinking of going?

Looking for over 700 bhp. Was thinking about doing a Cosworth engine, but the regarding reliability it really should be linered. And then the total price will be even more expensive than an EVO 8 engine. So if the EVO engine block can take about 1000 bhp in standard trim with no new liners i think that this would be the sensible option.
The engine is going in an MK1 Cortina with a Tremec TKO gearbox, so i am a little concerned about if it would be possible to mount it in a similar way to the Cosworth engines, hence my question about fitting holes on the side of the engine block.
