My 3door cosworth project.* UPDATE* BREAKING
#3925
been doing some bits to the car whilst i had a couple of days off over christmas.
got the front screen out with some help from the twins and steve.
also removed the ABS distribution block and pipe work as i am having all new brake lines made up by 'hel'
also the gearbos is now at 'gears' for a full rebuild and andy has been sending some pics of the progress
some worn synchros
5th gear puller
off in one piece
new bearings
will also be using there hydraulic slave cylinder
why i am taking parts off i am cleaning and giving them a lick of paint
gearbox cradle
when the engine was stripped it was decided that it would be better to look for a new head, fortunately M-T motorsport had the ideal head that we were after, ported to the right size and two bd 14's in it a deal was struck
had an idea for a new rear diffuser too, it is a varis style diffuser as used on a lot of jap cars, the picture of it is just mocked up to get an idea of sizes, it will have deeper blades and sit a lot lower down
like this
i will be welding cage gussets tomorrow night, i will take some pictures as i do
massive thanks to gears for there help with the gearbox and M-T motorsport

I've heard a bit about the Varis aero kit, it's actually functional it creates working vortices down the side of your bumper helping with smooth air return. Any more news on the rear beam you chose?
