thanks guys
3rd race 3rd win
their wasnt too much to do before the race, the guys at motorsport developments sent me out a turbosmart boost controller to try and regulate the boost for wet conditions. james come down for race weekend and kindly come round saturday and plumbed it all in whilst doug miller3 fited my alternator drop bracket ( and moaned about the lack of coffee )
we set the controller up on the A13
sunday race day and the weather was shocking!!! i know that the vauxhall vx220 hasa good wet set up and we used the first session just as a feeler to see how much grip their was, it's safe to say their wasn't a lot had a little spin after taking a bit to much kerb.
warm up and i wanted to try r888's but tony ryan talked me out of it, and come up with a good idea to have a quick pit stop 10 minutes in to change to 888's on the back to get back to back comparisons. i am glad we did that because their was too much standing water for them to clear and if i would have gone out with them to start with it would have been dangerous.
qualifying and thankfully it had dried up but their was grey clouds looming so i got straight out and rather than using a couple of laps to warm things i up started my flying lap straight away to avoid the rain and it was quite a busy track so it was hard to find a clear space, i set my quickest lap in lap 4 with a 53.2, 1 second clear of 2nd place and 4th overall in club class.
final and it had stayed dry with the exeption of a few showers since qualifyng but their were some angry looking grey clouds above, Tony ryan TOLD me to get out at the front of the pack and go for it straight away!!!! as i was leaving the pit lane rain started to fall!! i knew i had to get round as quick as pos to start my flying lap.
as i cross the line to start my flying lap the rain was really coming down hard and i was on a dry set up!! on my first lap i set a 56 second lap time, i kept going but the track was really wet and my lap times were falling, i knew that everybody elses lap times were falling too as their was no grip. i was in 1st place by 0.10 of a second and i had a little excersion across the grass so decided to pull in and wait to see if the track dried out as my main competitor was still out, if hes times started falling then i knew i would have to go back out and try again, but it didnt and i had won
i was over the moon to win at my home track,
massive thanks to everybody as usual doug, james, dan , chris, and Tony ryan for taking time out and spending hes sunday helping me out
a little vid of the final sliiping around and getting told off

What shocks and spring rates you running Ron ?
I could look though the 97 pages
I'm thinking of changing the F300 & R200 LB springs on my GAZ units.
Well done and hopefully see you at Anglesey.
