havn't done much to the car since the last race apart from fit some new double valve springs, with knockhill this weekend i have been getting the car ready.
made a template for some canards and give them to my friend dan yap to cut out for me as i havn't got the steadiest of hands
new sponsor 'Kleers' sticker on
all thats left is a spanner check fluid change and then it's good to go

Best of luck Ron, it should be a interesting day as the weather doesn't look likes it's going to be that great but this is knockhill so you will most likely get rain, snow and sun all in 1 day. Word of warning, the curbs have been made bigger so watch out for them.

thanks for all of the good luck wishes guys, it must have worked
1st in qualifying and 1st in final
the day started out wet which was a good chance for me to get out in the car with the wet tyres on. the grip level is pretty low to say the least but i started to get to grips with it altough my transponder wasnt working and not being able to get the power down along the straights i did a 1.09 which was on par with the other 2wd cars,oh and my windscreen misted up meaning i couldnt see much to combat this a boost controller will be fitted to allow a softer set up for wet.
can see my windscreen misted up in this pic
practice started to dry up slightly stil a wet track, i decided to try the 888's but with suspension set to wet settings, the car felt really good and i ended up being quickest overall, even beating the 4wd cars
qualifying and the rack had dried up completly, i left the car on quite soft settings, i qualified 1st but the vx220 was only 2 tenths behind
final and the track conditions were the same so decided to leave the car as it was. first flying lap and the car developed a little splutter on full boost and a massive flat spot through the chicane, put a few quick laps in and set a best time of 57 seconds, with 3 minutes to go i tried for one more lap but my secs alarm was going, which i hadnt noticed all session the alternator had fried and was over charging at 24 volts that would explain thre splutter lol
thankfully i had done enough to secure 1st place so top points this weekend gives me a nice lead in the championship. it looks to be a good close season between me and the vx220
next round is 8th july at brands hatch, on the list to do before is fit alternator and new Auto specialist drop bracket, weld seat mount as it broke
new pads,
would ideally like new tyres too but funds wont allow hopefully the old 888's should hopefully last one more race.
and that is it, so a pretty stress free preperation for the next race
as usual a massive thanks to everybody for their help

The car is becoming pretty reliable now, and any issues we do run into are being sorted so they won't happen again rather than just repairing the fault. We all actually got bored at Knockhill and started to clean the car Cos there was nothing to do lol
The tyres will be fine for brands RONNIE I had a good look over them at Knockhill.
I can't wait for brands, I loved it there last year and we will be a hell of a lot faster this year!

Oh and RONNIE I loved the moment at Knockhill where you breezed past the Porsche and the vx in one length of the straight lol
The car is soooo much faster on the straights than anything else in your class! When you have traction lol.
The little vx is going well this year, I hope they sort the issues they had at Knockhill, it spun off about 4 times and the guys were in asking for washers to sort a leak of some sort?
It's great to have a bit of competition!

We had a small fuel leak on the injector rail but a bit of your PTFE tape sorted it. As for spinning out, you only saw the four..? Nowt wrong with the car, more to do with the nut behind the wheel. It took me four efforts before I realised that trail braking into the hairpin at Knockhill was not the right thing to do.
We are doing our best to make it close this season but full marks to Ronnie and the team for two great wins out of two.
We are thoroughly enjoying the competition and the great camaraderie in the paddock.
