We had to dive in for the worst case because its our last day on the car tomorrow, and if we needed injectors we would have been stuck.
We have a fuel devlivery problem so we may be able to do the boost Ronnie wants on the greys, but i have to try and find the issue first

Saturday morning
It must be a restriction in the system somewhere, the fuel pressure can be increased in the workshop to 6 bar with applying pressure to the reg, but on the road when we ask for lots of flow it simply cant do it, and the pressure doesnt increase enough.
Ive had the foam out the tank to make sure its not clogging, new filter, new pump, still no joy.
Im more concerned as to why this was never found before, as i cant see it being a new problem
Other than that its all gone really well, it drives really well.

this has got to be a simple fix, im sure of it... something like an aroquip fitting or the pipe inside the tank...
its a shame the fule pressure has never been checked on load as the afrs have been mint, but now with more boost and fuel its come to light

You ever had any probs with tanks like this before James?
I wonder if it now needs a external lift pump and swirl pot?!?!?

I have had to modify this type of tank using our 1980's swirl pot and dual pump system
fuel surge was the issue with the tank if it wasn't kept fullish
it is also imperative that a pump intake filter is fitted

aint been on here for a bit
took the car up to motorsport a couple of weeks ago, as said their was a strange problem with the fuel pressure which turned out to be a tiny strand of wire from the aeroquip fuel line had got in to the fuel pressure regulator, well found james
i heard from james today letting me know they had finished the car, reports are good
apperently their isnt much grip
