is there a diffrence between a mfi escort rs turbo dump valve and a efi fiesta rs turbo dump valve i am asking because wen i joint up a efi fiesta turbo dump valve to my escort mfi engine with turbo the engine kept going off as dump valve was open and mfi unit works with suction lifting the plate in the airbox to release the fuel to the injectors :S can some one help me with this please

 

Ones Single pison and the other is Twin Piston I think the MFI is Twin not 100% sure tho A efi will run both without a problem but not the other way around

Yes m8 if you remove the Dump Valve you need to plug it with some thing i've a Alloy dump valve plug or abit of broom handle on any car tbh the cossie will run with a boost hose off but you dont get any boost ect im not sore if the FRST is the same BUT the MFI engine set up will Stop running

sure escort are the twin pistion type for the mfi and u run a single pistion type on a fiesta EFI or am i goin mad lol

 

mfi needs a twin piston as the engine needs the vacum to run. if the dump valve is just open the car wont idle
