Kaliber Cossie Gets a re-build , and not before time !
Recently acquired this ex-Boreham GpA car , its been a rallycar and then a Rally crosser in the hands of Phil collard who ran it with Mountune power in 2000 and 2001 , the engines been re-located further back and a few other mods have been made too , its my aim to sort some of its "issues " and return it to the race track where it belongs , thought this may interest a few people so hers the pics ....
So with everything stripped im left with this !

Meanwhile the Fuel system is removed so i can get at the Grot in the back of the floorpans , the Tank and pumps is a well designed bit of kit , only one pump is connected tho so this give me a chance to re-pipe all that . im re-locating everything to the boot area, i prefer it all there and it adds weight to the driveline , quite important on 3drs in my experience .

re-drill the mounting point above the original to suit your needs, in this case ive gone hole above hole for another 1/2" drop .
Cut the crossmember ends sqaure to allow the extra travel
re-weld thick washers over the new mounting holes and paint

Thats the idea, i dont want this sitting about not being rented out or sold .
Take a healthy chunk out of the front part of the wings , the bodykit hides all this anyway and allows much better castor in fast corners .

Back on its wheels then , ...
looks quite high up , but ive lowered it more than 3 inches from when it came in , just waiting for the engine and box to go in to flatten the assister springs on the dampers now as ive gone very hard on the springs !

Everything was just hung on for pic purposes , but i dont see the tow eye being a problem , its nowhere near the bumper , anyway im going to make some new Bumper irons and push it further out and down for some better clearance on the front wheels .
