Alrite mate,
i will be doing the underside of my turbo, all im going do is remove the sealer and old paint down to metal wiv a wire brush on a angle grinder, then spray with stone-chip paint, then cover in hammerite paint, then just leave it, clean it once in a while may be!!

had my MK4 3i done proffesionally at a classic car restorers, took it right back to the original primed surface. including inner wings etc etc. then plenty of etch primer, seam sealed, then several coats of shutz and then a few coats of the body colour. its now at the bodyshop getting the full resto job. i did consider doing it myself and buying a rollover jig....but time and space were a problem. i take my hat of to the guys that do it themselves!
