I just thought that I would share the short video from this saturday, when my car hit the dyno. It was actually a bit of a better result then I expected. 176,1 Bhp and 265 nm - good enough for me

don't be alarmed of the first run, the dyno guy did'nt adjust the dyno good enough for the first run.. I was begging for him to strap the car up, but he did'nt seem to care.. but no harm, he knew what he was doing

looks and sounds nice, was it not strapped down at all, if it had come off the rollers it would of gone through the wall

I KNOW!! - the dyno guy did'nt believe in strapping FWD cars, but yeah I had traces of evidence in my shorts after the first run... But he adjustet the dyno, and run 2 & 3 was'nt a problem, it kept steady on the dyno... I was still begging for him to strap it up

but thanks mates, I'm prette happy about the power and the sound... I'm looking forward to getting a complete stainless system on it, as it is now it's only the back box from 5ZIGEN that's stainless, but size and sound are awesome

I wouldnt have let him run the car without it being strapped down coz this happened to me

This happened about 2 years ago but it still makes me wonder what would have been the outcome if it happened on the road

The car was getting work done to it at AVA and when they were setting it up the tried a wee high speed run on the rollers to see what it was like top end, the car was totally strapped down front and at the back

Building up speed to 150mph everything fine until

BANG

The drivers front tyre blew out















It broke the bumper, damaged the wing, destroyed the tyre, ripped the side repeater and the RS badge clean off the wing, left trye marks all up the side of the car and there was even bits of tyre inside the car :

As you can see it totally ripped the tyre off the rim leaving just the 2 side walls behind, the tyre was perfect before hand with hardly any use at all.

Probably if this happened on the road i wouldnt be here writing this just now

Now think about it if that had of happened and the car wasnt strapped down

Holy shhhh.... As I said is was'nt happy about it, but the guy said that he knew was he was doing, and we did'nt have any acidents all day (Dyno day with ford club denmark) so we live on to tell the tale but seeing your pictures I don't think that any guy would be alowed to do it with out straps in there future

Could have happened at a track day though

Remember to keep the tyre ratings up on your cars guys. I always buy tyres that go higher than my cars top speed

NasRS - thanks mate, but yeah try standing beside your car when it does so - but I'm well happy with the figures, I guess it's enough power for me, untill next winther...
For now I'll focus on the styling etc. it needs a little love, before it's how I want it - I just ordered 3 new instruments for it, turbo boost, Oil pressure and Oil temp. And the project det next few months is to find some new seats, and get the rest of the interiour to match it, i've been thinking about these; http://www.raceland.dk/saeder/S_GTO.jpg - but with black and grey instead... and also when I'm doing the inside I'm going to put a little sound in it, even though the Forge dump is sounding pretty awesome, I still need a decent sound system...
For the ext. I bought new lights for it, I only need to buy the new rear lamps and side repeaters, I'm waiting for my frontsplitter project to arrive, and i've found 3 models of alloys that i'm waiting for prices on, so there's going to be some changes before summer
