Thanks peeps, so the 24v will bolt up to the mt75? I have one here would be nice to have an 4x4 Scorpio I think the biggest problem I would have is the LHD steering rack.

theere are 6 genuine red cossies.
mine's a 2.0 GLSI shell.
i bought it already replica'd and with the 24v fitted.
lennie bought his replica'd but still had the 2.0 engine in it

24v RS Cosworth
Hi,
Just saw your 24v cosworths. They look really well done including the detailing on the red one!!! Looks well smooth!
Im doing a conversion myself and i would like to ask you a couple of questions?
1. Does it run well enough without the resinator on? Some have told me i need it but i dont know for sure so i thought id ask you?
2. How does it drive? Did you run it with a yb? if so how does it compare??
Lee
Ps Whats the red pipe for sticking out of the slam panel?

red pipe sticking out of the slam panel is hose i left lying on it when i took the pic (infact i drove around with it under the bonnet for a day by accident )
ive never driven one witha resonator so can't compare, but as far as im converned the cars drive fine without them.
compared to a cossie its very much the same, same pull at the top end and still got a bit of a kick around 3k (not coz of a turbo coming in, but still it "comes on cam" over that) the main difference is the huge differnce in torque below that power band
a cossie drives like a 1.1 micra off boost and you really need to work it to get anywhere quickly.
the v6 is like a turbodiesel in this same revrange, put your foot down and it pulls lovely
in a flat out drag race there wouldnt be much in it, but making progress around town the v6 excels... it takes ZERO effort to drive. 99% of my driving is done below 2k rpm... i'll be in 5th gear at 30mph in mine and wont bother changing down unless i drop below the 20mph mark (which is about 800rpm) and it only needs light throttle movements to get going. in comparison you'd not really want to be any higher than 3rd in a cossie, and youd need 2nd if you wanted to actually make progress
