Just trying to work out whether a decently kitted and painted mk5 or 6 van would look good enough to be a worthwhile project over a car......

My mate Scott is gonna blow his beans over these vans... he's not long got a MK6 and is planning to do a fair bit of work to it. This'll be going straight into his internet favorites.

The white CSG one looks brilliant. I'd love a minted MK4 Combi Van to tool around in.
Cheers,
Grant

and this is how you lower them. you need to make a plate up, the put the rear axel ontop of the springs rater than under. then replace the u-bolts with normal bolts. if you want to go lower just put some box section between the sping & axel. heres a pick of how mine was done

Am trying to fit alloys to my mk7 van ,195/60/15 but they catch the inside of the rear inner arch.Do you need to fit longer studs with spacers or is there something i,m missing ?
Also there fronts scrape on full lock.

the locator peg is on the underside of the spring & the plate i had made has a hole in the middle for the peg to locate into. so it can't move. been like it for years with no probs. many people dont have anything to located the axel. just the tightness of the bolts to stop it moving & i've never even heard of anyone having problem with it mounted like that
