Back in the late 80's we owned an Escort 1600 Ghia. Big surprise when out to the park with our 1yr old baby boy in 1989 to park up almost next to it's sister. Have you ever done similar?

Hi guys, met a fella called mick who owns M.A.D. Cosworth at a car show last autumn who had purchased 3 of these Sierra vans.Story goes that Ford U.K. Commissioned three in red, white and blue and they were for the Irish market. He was extremely chuffed that he had found them and even more chuffed he had bought them

This is what I like to see, a 49 year old Anglia in regular use.
The chrome Rostyles give away the fact that from what I could see underneath, a nice conversion to crossflow (or perhaps Pinto). Front legs had coilovers and big disk brakes, rear was also converted to coilover dampers with the original springs.
I didn't take a picture but the interior was in a mess with ductape as a gearstick shroud and, right from the '70's, an aftermarket steering wheel just 10" across. Imagine driving and steering with a saucer !!

Nice clean example, rust free too from what can be seen.

I can still remember the first time I saw a Sierra. We were so used to the square lines of the Mk4 Cortina that the Sierra seemed 'space-age'...very radical. Much like the jump from the Mk2 Escort to the Mk3. Now, of course, they seem almost as 'old-fashioned' as the Anglia.
Strange how cars these days have such small windows compared to a Sierra. Look at rear end of a new Fiesta for example, almost a letter box slit.
