Should of bought a puma. But you wouldnt get one without rusty arches for 500 quid lol.
The back bearings collapse on the rear beam and the suspension arms tilt in wards so you get massive rear camber lol.

I have had plenty of these and will get another polar white phase 2 vts at some point.
Watch out for:
Rear beam play
Under ecu at drivers side, under fuse box at pass side
Bottom arms
Droplinks
Suspension top mount bearings
Sunroof leaking
Sloppy gear linkage
Everything else is pretty much fine on saxos/106s

^ i assumed it was a vtr as you never specified what model it actually was!! And now looking at the 2nd pic in post #1, i see its got the rear headrests in (vtrs had wee bumps). And i also noticed the very early front grille too. Well like i said you will be lucky to get £600 breaking it (should you decide to). But to be honest it does look a fairly decent car!! I would tidy it and hold onto it because Saxo VTS' are becoming hard to get. Most are broken due to running gear for conversions and the rest are either rotten or wrote off!!
Ps i have odds and ends like a bare cyl head, coilpack, full loom car and engine, fuel pump and little daft things!!

Jesus! A standard Mk1 Saxo VTS! not often you see that....
I bought one new in 1999..... Only had it a year before I traded it in on a Polo GTi.
I hated it But that one looks nice!

The oil temp dont work on my 106 either, as for cold heater, check water level. Mine was down to min and air locked. Once bled up properly and topped up with coolant it has been ok. Temp gauge seems to read high,as in the last line on the gauge, but this is normal apparently.
