Works and plays on track
Yeah I think it looks pretty good, we do a part anthracite wheel at work and it looks pretty good on silver XJs. If you google the new XJR, their wheels are similar to anthracite too. I'd say slate is about the best description but it will give you a rough idea in the absence of a photoshop.

You're a star my friend, definitely food for thought. I think a darker shade of red will work well with a few other red details here and there.
I actually like the green too
Cheers.

I've found that life I needed.. It's HERE!!
I think the reds a winner personally, debadge it and re-do the ford badges with a red background. Red half cage and harnesses would look the part.
I like these dropped over st24 turbines too.

This isn't mine by the way just a picture off Google as I want to ditch the turbines and fit the multispokes.
Not sure what the offset is on the ST24 wheels?
Plans are to gut it completely, concentrate on the handling and 300mm brakes, breathing mods with FRP cams or LMS3/4's with a remap, should see a comfy 155bhp.
= loads of fun

This was my old one lowered on Weitec shocks / lowering springs at the front and FRP shocks / lowering springs at the back. 17" alloys help to fill the arches better than the 15" ones too.
It was 40mm lower than standard at the back and just 18mm at the front. But the 17" tyres are 20mm larger in diameter than 15" ones so 10mm higher anyway.

205/40/17 Offset was ET37 which is why the rear wheel is still well under the arch.
If you stray outside ET34 > ET37 (especially with 7"+ alloys) you might start to get rubbing issues on either the inner or outer wing depending on the tyre profile and how much you've lowered it.
