First car! Not a ford...

Too many posts.. I need a life!!
I quite like the look of these, tidy wee motor, defo good for a runabout or first car etc and im not a French fan usually!
I would keep it standard personally, wouldnt bother with wheels etc, get some NCB built up.

yep, keep it simple, you put a nice set of wheels on it and you tell your insurance company then your insurance will probably go up, dont tell the insurance company and you make a claim because you get it nicked, they may not pay out because the wheels made it more desirable

When I said modify I meant simple so as not to effect insurance too much. Already got myself a decent stereo (Fucking peugeot want £20 to tell me the code! It's my fucking radio and I have to pay to use it! )
Thinking decent set of alloys (Wont effect insurance too much, think when I tried it, it only went up a fiver) and general tidy up. Once insurance is cheaper she's getting lowered and from there? Who knows?
As for the "burn it and buy a Ford comment", every ford I saw for sale was rotten and/or overpriced

PassionFord Post Whore!!
Just the std 15inch 306 gti wheels (I think they are Cyclone), lower it a tad and just drive it, service it then sell it in 2yrs after your NCD is built up.
Bargain at the price though.

10K+ Poster!!
Nice looking car, I have to agree with some of the others, leave it well alone. Just get a couple of years NCB and then get something quicker (I have searched and with 2 years NCB in a low risk postcode cars like vts saxos, 206 gtis, etc become quite insurable), this is the route I would go.

Cheers mate, never really thought much of peugeot but they've made some cracking looking cars
Something quicker is definately on the horizon
Still contemplating what alloys, the guys on the 306oc highly reccomended cyclones. You're right though, right bargain
