Since my trusted pug 205 as died... I've had to replace it ... Well this come up cheap from a mates family member and was to good to refuse with

Heated leather
Aircon
Power steering
Electric windows
Sat nav
6 disc multi changer
Alloys

It's a 1.9tdi with the red I... Feels pokey not sure on power.. It's done 78k taxed till oct and MOT'd till oct... Got it at a bargain price of £640

Not keen on colour tho or rear window tint.

Stick the details in msd's evolution chip site see what gains you'll get, obviously it you get it mapped the mpg will go up as they always do on mapped diesels.

didnt think running the frs everyday would last long.
i think youve got a bargain, my mate gave a grand for one about 6 months ago. he thought hed been robbed but when he looked around he couldnt find another for less than 1500. my mate finds his bland, but 50ish mpg. not bad for a daily.

At that age it'll be the Pre-PD engines, red I should indicate its the 110bhp version, same as in the VAG group cars of the time.

I had my Octavia 110 remapped to 140bhp, did make it go better, then it killed the clutch and DMF. Replaced it with a solid flywheel conversion and it was mint. 4 up round the ring, full of lugagge etc etc. Used to average about 51mpg after mapping

I have a pd 100bhp golf with a Shark remap to 130bhp. Clutch is fine so far but if I was to change i thought the solid flywheel converions were really noisey on idle?

Thats a bargain mate. Good engines the 1.9tdi's. Ive got the Passat in 2.0Tdi form at the minute and it seems more lumpy than my old Golf 1.9tdi. Mpg seems about right. You will likely get around 55mpg on a run.
Youve also got a car to suite your PF status - Goldmember LOL

That does look a bargain.. I've been looking for a cheap diesel myself and they don't usually get that cheap for a car like that as a lot of people want them! You did very well to get that for £640, well done!
