Well after swaying away from Fords and getting my astra sri turbo.Looks like I'm now heading back to a ford. I've only had the astra 13 months but I've never really bonded with the car as I've always had fords. No matter how much I tried to not look for a new car I just always found my self looking for a ford again. I'll be putting the astra back to standard so all parts will be for sale.
I had a st170 which ended up written off so the bought another and was bored of that so then got a astra (big regret although it did look nice)

yeh they are but a simple remap and its vxr power or close to.

Yes, the VXR is 240HP, but the ST is a far better choice imo.

Well everyone said I should get the vxr but I'm a ford man and always loved the st and its better built and a remap see a good gain

I heard the 5dr astra sri turbos are 190hp but the 2dr ones are only 170hp. Why would they do that? Seems a bit daft to me.

Apparently because the Vxr wouldn't sell as many if the Sri 3 door was close to the same power. Although from new you could get the 190bhp added to the 3 door as its only the map that's different.
