Will be going to the dreaded MOT tomorrow morning.
Legally we aren't allowed to change ANYTHING.

Wish me luck because the car is going in it's current form.

Right, today I went for that bloody annual MOT.
Let me rephrase that. Today the dealer went to the MOT with my Cossie. And I'm bloody happy that he's willing to take it there because each year, it passes.

I did EXACTLY 7500km between the MOT last year and this year and of course those morons couldn't resist putting some pointers on my green sheet, 4 to be exact.

TIRES -- wear (difference left-right)
CHASSIS UNDER SIDE -- rust
ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
OIL LOSS OR COOLANT LEAK

Apparently the front tyre passenger side and the rear tire drivers side are worn on the inside.

They also discovered tiny rust spots on the chassis passenger side.

I'm still in the process of putting some extra gauges in the car and therefor my dashboard is open and there are some exposed wires which belong to them gauges.

Apparently the crankshaft oil seal is bust. That should explain why the whole block and underside of the car is covered in oil. 1 advantage --> it doesn't rust.

And this is how she was presented; way too low ofcourse, too big rims and tires, drilled and grooved brake discs, stainless exhaust without a cat, too small steering wheel, etc....

My inlet manifold gasket

The part supplied by Bailey which they claim is the oil return. Well, it isn't.

The bung needed to remove under the turbo

The part I got to replace the standard breather

The part made up for the turbo side to breath

70,37liter m8.

Don't know about the Bailey kit. They do NOT supply the right fittings to install it correctly. Had to make up my own and the car is STILL at the garage at the moment as they do not seem to find any time to work on it.

Going to call tomorrow and DEMAND my car back for tomorrow night --> bank holiday and 2 days off work means --> COSSIE TIME !!!!!!!!!!!!

Have the car back now but it develops a crunching noise when really flooring it in first gear.
Going away tomorrow night again to have that looked after.

HATE my car.

By the way, I think that our mutual friend has found the problem.

1 of the engine mounts is knackered.
Need to source a set BEFORE this weekend.

I finally have a part of my dashboard back with a carbon fibre addition to it.

Looks good enough. Now all I need to do, is get them gauges back in.

Not yet, I still have to put in the Cossie and the dash itself will be coming out in the not so distant future.

Went for a drive today and took some lovely pictures if I may say to myself.
Had the chance to weigh the Cossie and she's exactly 1410kg with a full fuel tank and boot filled with stuff (oil, plugs, cleaning products, etc..) like I always drive.
Quit heavy isn't it.

I however also think that I've got a problem somewhere.
Here are the values I wrote down today.

OIL at about 80°C
1000rpm --> 1.50bar oil pressure sometimes dropping to approx 1.30bar just after a run and then on tickover
2000rpm --> 2.80bar
3000rpm --> 3.35bar
3500rpm --> 3.45bar
5000rpm --> 3.50bar
Aren't those values a bit on the low side.

FUEL PRESSURE with a 4bar fuel pressure regulator
5.50bar @ 1.8-1.9bar peak turbo boost pressure
3.87bar @ tickover without vacuum pipe
3.20bar @ tickover with vacuum pipe
3.00bar on the overrun

Now, what's wrong with the damn thing now?
Pressure regulator, fuel pump, worn engine????

Got some new parts this weekend.

And Mike finally came through with his carbon fibre piece.
It's just brilliant. Just look at how the "thread" of the carbon follows the outher edge of the piece itself.
