I let the Cossie out yesterday because I was pretty sure about the sun staying in that beautifull blue sky yesterday. Boy, what was I wrong.
Nevertheless, had a great time with a Porsche Carrera 4S who wasn't too happy that I could keep up with him and I saw an AM DB7 Vantage which is pretty rare over here.

Went out in the Cossie yesterday as I had to.
Drove home from work today and had a slight misfire at higher revs. Nothing to worry about, probably just bad plugs which I was going to replace later today. Got about half way into my journey home and all of a sudden it started running on 2, then 4, then 2 cylinders. Coasted to a very nearby parking area next to the road and she died on the spot.
We've got absolutely NO idea what's wrong. Coil is brand new, changed the plugs on the scene, tested the plugs and leads and every plug got a good spark. We're baffled as to what it is.
Will probably need a new block as I think that a rod has snapped but this ain't gonna happen as we're planning on building our own house this year. This would mean that the Cossie is going into sale OR into hibernation for a couple of years.
More updates tomorrow (I hope).

Geert, so sorry to hear the the buggers died on you after all this time! It was just starting to look even better than usual with your new wheels and everything!
Definately keep it mate, you can sort it out over a period of time or when the time is right in the future! If you sell it you know you'll regret it!
I love this car, one of my favourite Cossies!

We've been looking for 2 days once till we found it, an escos has a bit more wires so that would be a possibilty and a cheap repair Why looking the hard way if it can be just a wire

Well guyz, so sum it all up.
Indeed, it was without ANY fuel.
Still can't believe how stupid I have been. We changed --> plugs, plugcables, coil, distributor car & rotor arm. All without any luck.
Today, a friend (Bart) came over with a very great knowledge of Cossie engines. Mhhhhhh, plugs seem a little dry. Funny, fuel gauge is half way but the odometer is showing 573,6km (I reset this EVERY single time I fill her up but I knew I forgot to reset that at the last fillup. I had only forgotten at what mileage and since the fuel gauge was still half way, I didn't pay any attention to this). He taps on the fuel tank and what does he hear --> as empty as an Easter egg.
Fuel goes in and she's running like she used to do before.
Ford say that the Cossie has a 60liter tank.
Do you wanna know how much fuel went in?
