Default Your Car History In Pictures

We Havnt had one of these threads for a while, so get your pics/stories up

I'll start with my less than inspiring 'history'

First car in 1995 was a white MK1 XR2, ended up with a seized engine, sorry no pics

Second car was my mams old beige metro she gave me when I killed the XR2, I don't have pictures, and trust me, you wouldn't want to see them if I did

Third car, bought it for £5k in 1997, 1.6 Zetec Mondeo, I was only 18, it was the biggest engine i could afford to insure as I was on my insurance

4th car was a Metro GTa I got to run about in after I got rid of the mondingo, sorry, no pictures

5th car was this, 2 Litre GLX Mondeo, bought it in 2003 iirc

6th car was this, bought it in 2006/7, V6 Zetec-S

7th was this, Escort GTi, bought in 2008

8th was this, bought it in 2009, Ghia-X V6

And 9th and currently, ST24

So as you can see, far from inspiring, and less than interesting, so come on, what's your history ?

Well i cant do all mine as the first 4 i never drove on the roads (under age) and most of them i dont have pictures of but its mostly been fords with the odd vauxhall and citroen so ill just start from my first focus.

mk1 focus how it looked when i got it (didnt stay like that to long a jeep wipeout the front end)

then i bought a replace for my mondeo mk3.5 2.0 tdci, a vauxhall astra h 1.8 sri (before you say why well this is only a works car and i do dull mileage 30,000 in 10 months so far and it was either this or a focus mk2.5 which sorry the astra wins on looks and drive)

then i bought my current track toy a mk1.5 focus which looked like this but with a crash bar and headlight holder for £100 with everthing bar the interoir

i do also current have (had it from new) a sym jet sr50 sportX moped (56 plate) which i had for when i was only living 500 yards from my works (yeah i know im a lazy git and i wont walk any where lol)

Just a selection of the several I’ve owned (mainly Fiestas). I've had a lot more than is pictured
‘Scuse crappy pics as some are scanned 35mm snaps (showing my age!)

First car 950 hc L

First proper project 1.1 Pop plus SScrossXR rep

Orion

First ‘proper’ XR

Parked up at a local chippy when a fella who’d just had a stroke used my car as a brake

1.4s, fitted the running gear from the red car

Got hit by a tw*t from a local Ford dealership exactly 6 months from the XR crash, deja-vu

First MK1 XR

Swapped for this MK2 (MK1 was written off by its new owner 6 months later

Moved to an XR2i

Then to an Si

to a MK4

to a MK5

to a MK6!! (TDCi 1.4) before

after

I’d owned a Scooby too since from when I had the MK4 (nearly 6 years now!)

Before

After and as she stands now

New Fiesta (well actually the wifes!)

Hope to re-light the retro Fiesta spark again with a MK1 or 2 in the not-to-distant future

Cheers mate, was an awesome car, you have no idea how gutted I was having to sell it. I spent near on a grand on it in the 4 months I had it just doing little bits and pieces. If it hadn't been for shit circumstances it would of had several more k thrown at it lol.

I've only got photos of a few of them.

This was actually a 2.9 4x4. It was known as the gls 4x4 but it had the same running gear as the xr4x4. It had spax suspension, piper 285 cam & induction kit. I removed the 4x4 badge so it used to upset the local xr4x4 guys when I used to go past them. The cam really made a big difference to the way it went.

Parked next to it is one of my old mantas.

I then replaced that with this. It was an ex turbo-technics car & it had a £7000 engine in it! It was converted back to normally aspirated but it had the same power as the turbo engine, it had everything you could think of done to the engine, 8 injectors, piper 285 cam, 3 angle valves, exhaust system, induction kits etc etc. I've forgotten most of the spec!

I then fitted the wheels from the gls and got them resprayed when I kerbed one of them. Sorry for the crap picture

This was a cracking car. I sold the Integrale and bought this for fun, it has to be the most fun car I've had but that's probably because it was quick, rear wheel drive and most of all very very cheap. I didn't care if I binned it and drove it that way

I put the standard wheels back on this and sold the 17"s because 1 was buckled. It was a very nice car but too boring for me because it was front wheel drive.

I sold that and bought this, this time I went for a 24 valve.

I had this for a couple of months and then I broke it

Still got these 2

Like I said mate, from the day it was in fast ford, I fell in love with it, proper proper cool car. Seen it for sale twice over the years iirc, when you were selling it, and when the guy who built it was selling it I think, both times I contemplated selling a kidney on the black market

I'd have been wounded if I was forced into selling it aswel mate, but sometimes, you got to do what you got to do

I dont have a long history in the 8 years ive been driving.

1st car @ 18 y.o, Focus 1.6 Zetec. Owned for 3 years.

21st birthday present to myself, Focus 1.8 Collection. Regret part-exing for the Mondeo below, but I couldnt afford it without it. Want it back now.

Mondeo ST TDCi, Was still 22 when I bought it. Unusual car for someone that age. Was 2 years old when I bought it. Sold it to dad to get the Focus ST.

Focus ST3, current car. Had for nearly 3 years & almost done 9000 miles in that time.
