Talking Took the plunge and back into Ford! Fiesta ST 500

Hello,

So today ive gone for a test drive in a blue one and never drove it and got this instead.

Its a 09 but on a 58 plate and done 27k with a lady owner (aren't they all )

Happy to be back in the Ford scene as from Saturday!

Cheers for all the feedback in the general discussion but a Clio is just too small for me. So glad the SHIT MG will be gone!

All feedback is welcome

Bang on the same, just has things like "A limited edition ST500 version is also available which adds black alloy wheels, carbon fibre interior trim, heated leather seats, red painted brake callipers, black metallic paint along with silver bonnet and side stripes."

Simple mods, but yet satisfying!

Cheers guys.

get it lowered and put a different set of wheels on.

I'd get rid of the stripes, also.

Cheers guys, Im 6'2 so i dont need a ladder but ive got the other half one Whats best to lower them with? Any links?

I have seen something about adding a K&N 57i that gives 15 bhp more How true is this? also i hear alot of hype about the handling this car has to offer, will lowering it make this worse as its so good to start with?

No need to lower it, white line anti roll bars and the 12.5mm rear spacers is all you need.

The 500's came with 6- 8 bhp more than the normal fez due to ford superseding the old 55mm throttle body with the 60mm one.

Get a Mountune c.a.i.s and a Mongoose down pipe and flexi, transforms the way the power is delivered and you get a nice little power gain, up to 165-170 on a 500.

Eibach Springs from ford. Drops it 30mm. Also the 12.5mm spacers from the Racing Puma. They need a little notch to allow for the ABS sensor. Real easy stuff!

I didn't go with the Rear ARB, as I don't have the cinfidence for it (told it can make the rear end very light) although I do have a front strut on mine too.

Mountune CAIS is great, makes the engine rev soooooooo much better!

Hope you enjoy it!
I'd post a pic of mine, but I can't find one!

Are you sure about the throttle? Ive been told the 500 is just cosmetic?

I have a set of Brembo's for the front, and the rears are easy enough to upgrade. Also, I now have a strut in the bay. (And one of VERY few Bailey header tanks!) A mate of mine works for them and they used my car for the template, so I got a good deal!

Not a 500, but I like it

Doesn't have to be a 500 to look that good

I would like to do the rear brakes as they look lost in there but didn't want to spend to much there. An induction kit is a must, have you seen any power increase from fitting this?

Im not to sure on the spacers but lowering will be done, just not sure when! Do i just need the springs or do i need shocks etc?
Also had a piss about on photoshop but im not very good, what do you think to white grill and mud flaps? lol.

I don't like the grille in white, if you want it to be different try photoshopping it in silver similar to stripes
