Default Starting to learn how to use solid works

Just started to learn how to use solidworks this is what i've done so far. I'm self taught via the net and you tube.

Is this like solid edge? That good that is mate, not an easy thing to use if its the same program I used at college

I'm not too sure mate never heard of solid edge. solidworks is very AutoCAD like!

I hope your not using hooky software

Seriously though what you've done looks good .

Have you tried the 3d sketching yet?

There is a good built in tutorial where you make an oven rack.

Bit of a struggle when you're used to working from a 2d sketch and then extruding into a solid but you can get some cool results.

This took me hours and hours with Solidwork and photoview and I REALLY struggle to get the part I've drawn positioned within the stage image.

no i haven't tried 3d sketching but i may give it ago now you have mentioned it.
