Question What car does this come from?

Hi there ...

Quite some years ago i owned a nice little mk2 Fiesta Xr2. When i got it, it had a different looking thermostat housing - with a screw cap on it. I have only seen this one, and never seen it on other cvh engines.

Can anyone telle me what car is decends from? And if its worth fitting the Zvh engine i a building for my S2 Rst? (Reconditioned off course ...)
Don't know if it has any practical advantage prior to the standard housing? ...

Suppose it'd be useful for bleeding the cooling system up when filling it maybe?

from a very early cvh, dont see the point myself as thats what the top pipes does
bleed into the header tank but the pipe will do it automatically where as the cap will need removing to do it, seems a less helpful item rather than moreso and its another thing to leak or break
