Good man I've always had working dogs... There a real asset if they are kept and treated right... I have a English pointer that I work under the falcon and hawk and she's a diamond..

Here she is as a pup and a few in-between and one Archie end flushing a rabbit in the snow.

Just a word of warning mate, vets know F all about the best types of food for your dog, there not actually trained about nutrition and always tend to recommend what they sell/get a a good price and most are sponsored by Science Plan.

My advice would be go on a lab forum and read what other owners recommend, i bet science plan wont appear once.

The best diet for a dog is BARF which is basically raw meats and bones with veg, but can be abit complicated for new owners. But there are much better dried foods than the one you have, check the meat content % on the back, this is normally a sign of the quality.

James Wellbeloved takes some beating for the price.

aww she's lovely, as are the others!

I love dogs.

get some puppy training pads for when you're out/not looking for her to pee on!

Take her outside for a Pee religiously after:

She wakes up from a sleep
After feeding
after playing

this is when puppy's pee, Guaranteed!

If you do that religiously then you're half way there and it teaches her to want outside when she needs to go.

This is Brad. Who when we got him was scared of every thing but mostly men!!
He now follows my other half every where. But still will chew his way out if there is a storm given the chance.

Its how they look when grown i suppose. working type are lighter on the body and slightly longer legged and usually have a longer mouth but smaller head. also their fur usually is a little ruffles along the rear of there back whereas the other are smooth and not quite as wirey if you like

here

Working type on the left and show type on the right
